  • Description

Greetings and well wishes dear readers,

If I've been anything over the past decade, it's a traveller. I spent more than three years roaming and living in various countries across Asia — the most notable among which are: Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Iran, Nepal, Laos, Oman, the list goes on...
I roamed around Europe for multiple years, venturing far beyond the trodden paths and pushed the limits of my resilience; I dabbled my toes in the Americas, and found myself lost in Oceania.
My main motivator was always a desperate search for purpose, meaning, and above all — myself. As I would later discover, it also served as a justification for escapism. I slowly came to realise that, despite having been an invaluable teacher (for I saw travelling as my alternative education,) it was time to re-integrate into the more traditional channels of our society.
This realisation propelled me to embark on a new kind of journey, a journey for stability, a journey to honestly evaluate my needs and work towards obtaining them.
I currently have one major mission on this new journey, that is to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, and eventually, a master’s in English Literature. It is my dream to go back to Bhutan and teach creative writing at RTC, the university where I found myself studying for 6 months.

I would love to obtain those credentials while volunteering in Ireland.
The studies will commence in September and are wholly online. I would need about 5 hours per day to commit to them. A strong and reliable internet connection would be essential, and a space/desk with peace and quiet :)
The hours of my self-study can be spread flexibly throughout the day to suit preferences. And all remainder of my time can be at full disposal to my host :)

In my free time you might also catch me brooding on the embryonic state of my novel (currently no more than a vast patchwork of miscellaneous concepts, scattered characters, and chaotic fragments of prose.)

As of now I am catering my profile to people who would be willing to host me for longer terms, ie. a year or longer, up to three. Of course I do not expect guarantees, and would never wish to outstay my welcome, I only hope to strike up a meaningful connection with my host and become part of the family.
I’d love to stay in a family as au pair, the energy of kids always raises my spirits. But I’m open to all sorts of other projects too. Feel free to reach out to me if my profile resonates with you.

    ------------------

Thank you for reading and considering me to become part of your home.
I hope we can share wonderful times together 🌈❤️😁

    love,

    x

    I'm interested in:

    Babysitting and creative play

  • More details about your skills

Very few, actually. I like to think of myself as somewhat of a Siddartha, Hermann Hesse's protagonist in the book of the same name, who, when asked about his skills replies, 'I can do three things--I can fast, I can think, and I can wait.' Later he does prove the value of those things as he becomes filthy rich. But to be fair, I'm not even great at those.

But for the sake of not selling myself unnecessarily short, here's an attempt at a list:

    - Multi-lingual, decently witted, and tolerable human being
    - I can read and write, does that still count?
    - Patient and loving caretaker to all kind and kindred souls (sadly, have yet to reach an unconditional capacity, so be kind 😈)
    - Decent, self-taught, yet dangerously experimental cook.
    - The list could go on ...
