  • Description

Hi everyone! I’m Alessio, a 27-year-old from Italy with a deep passion for social impact and cultural exchange. I recently graduated in Law, specializing in the protection of human rights and vulnerable groups, and I am currently attending a second-level professional Master’s program at the University of La Sapienza in Rome.

I like to describe myself as a mix between a reflective philosopher and a proactive team member. Whether I’m discussing global issues or rolling up my sleeves for hands-on work, I approach every task with energy and a smile.

My years in the Scouts have taught me core values such as service, adaptability, and deep respect for nature and others. I offer a wide range of practical and professional skills gained in different working environments: solid experience working with children and teenagers as a football coach and trainer; experience in hospitality and manual work as a waiter, tour entertainment staff, and in logistics at Decathlon; as well as digital support skills in website management and social media.

I am a native Italian speaker, with an intermediate level of English and basic knowledge of Spanish, French, and Ukrainian.

For me, traveling means meeting people and supporting meaningful causes. I strongly believe in social inclusion and sustainability. After taking part in an Erasmus+ project in Germany focused on cooking and storytelling, I realized how much I enjoy connecting with different cultures through shared activities.

From me, you can expect reliability, positivity, and a taste of authentic Italian culture and cuisine. I am looking for an opportunity to contribute to your project, gain new skills, and improve my language fluency. I am very excited to meet you!

I can also provide institutional references from my work with children and teenagers.

More details about my language interests
As a native Italian speaker with a background in Law and Humanities, I am very enthusiastic about language exchange and have the patience and experience to help others learn. Having worked as a Scout leader, football coach, and educator, I am well-equipped to teach Italian to people of all ages, from casual conversation to more formal grammar. I am also an intermediate English speaker and am highly motivated to constantly improve my proficiency for both personal growth and professional development. Regarding my other learning goals, I am eager to practice my Spanish and French (both at an A2 level) to reach fluency, and I have recently begun studying the basics of Ukrainian. My experience in an Erasmus+ project in Germany taught me that the best way to learn is through shared activities, so I would be delighted to teach you Italian while we cook or work together, just as I hope to refine my English and other languages through our daily interactions.

  • What else ...

Outside of my studies .I am an active and curious person who loves a mix of outdoor energy and creative downtime. Basketball is one of my favorite sports, along with football, and I always enjoy a good game or a chance to coach. I am a huge nature lover and find great peace in walking through forests, visiting lakes, and exploring local parks. Whether it’s trekking or simply playing outdoors, I value staying active in the fresh air. I also have a strong appreciation for the arts and music, enjoying everything from pop to a variety of other genres.
I am particularly passionate about gardening and agriculture. At my home, I personally maintain a diverse garden where I grow orange, lemon, mandarin, apple, and pear trees, as well as strawberry grapes and beets. I have experience with various aromatic herbs and have even implemented hydroponic systems, which has given me a good technical understanding of plant care.
Cooking and traveling are my greatest ways to connect with others. I adore both cooking and tasting any kind of international dish. I am a big fan of travel stories and adventures abroad; in January 2026, I traveled to Japan for 14 days, and I would be absolutely thrilled to share my experience with you and hear all about your own travel stories and life experiences. In my quieter moments, I like to relax with technology, whether it's playing video games or working on creative digital projects like photography. I’m a well-rounded person who can enjoy a competitive match on the court just as much as a deep conversation about the world over a shared meal.

Beyond my hobbies, I am deeply committed to social justice and human rights. My academic path in Law, focused on the protection of vulnerable people and children, is mirrored in my extensive volunteer work. I have collaborated with various NGOs, such as the Red Cross and Salesiani per il Sociale, supporting food distribution for those in need and organizing educational activities for disadvantaged youth. I also spent time at a Juvenile Justice Center, using creativity and dialogue to connect with minors in difficult situations.
For me, volunteering is not just about "giving back," but about creating real human connections based on empathy and respect. I am particularly interested in projects that involve social inclusion, advocacy, or support for vulnerable communities. I truly value the chance to bring my experience in social work to your project, as I believe that working together for a common cause is the most meaningful way to experience a new culture.
