We are Aisling (Ash-ling) from Ireland and Moniek from the Netherlands 🙂
📌Aisling is currently traveling in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and Moniek in Europe 🇪🇺 so when you get a message from us it is just from one of us right now!
🌼About us:
We met in Thailand 6 years ago while we were both solo backpacking in Asia and volunteering at an animal sanctuary!
In 2022 we quit our jobs to travel. We started by walking the Camino de Santiago and have been travelling around Europe and Asia since. For us travelling is far more fulfilling when doing something more than simply passing through places as tourists, so we really value these workaway experiences. We have been lucky enough to meet some really great people along the way - hosts and other workawayers who we still keep in touch with today 🙂 Have a look at our video to see some of the things we have gotten up to with workaway so far!
We are big animal lovers (particularly dogs - our photos are a big hint!😄) and we are not afraid of hard work, getting dirty or physical labor. We have good common sense and a 'can-do' attitude so we are happy to do almost any task set to us!
We appreciate the simple things in life and are happiest when living minimally and having everything we need in the backpacks on our backs. We share a love for animals, traveling, meeting new people, nature, hiking and cooking delicious vegan food.
We only ever write to people when we have a real interest in their profile and where we think our skill set can be genuinely useful. So you can be sure that if you receive a message from us, we have not copy and pasted the same to 10 others 💜
⚠️Moniek has a severe horse allergy and can't stay with hosts that have horses or land/accommodation with traces of horsehair. Please let us know if this is the case (and it's not obvious from your profile).

👩Aisling is a qualified veterinary nurse mostly working with dogs and cats but has a love for all creatures great and small. Interested in many different types of workaway experiences.

👩🦰Moniek has a degree in hotel management and has had a variety of roles in the hospitality sector for the last 10 years. She has a lot of experience working with dogs after spending over a year working in a shelter with 800+ dogs.
We are eager to get involved with any task and to learn new skills. Some examples of tasks we could help with:
