  • Description

I truly love meeting new people from different cultures. It fascinates me to learn, to share, and to listen. What inspires me the most is discovering that, although we may seem different on the outside, deep down we are all the same — we all long to be accepted, recognized, and loved. Getting to know other cultures expands our awareness, and in every genuine encounter, we leave a little bit of ourselves and carry something from the other. This exchange is deeply enriching, and I truly enjoy being part of it.

More details about my language interests
I would love to teach Brazilian Portuguese. I consider my English to be more than intermediate — I listen to a lot of content in the language and feel quite confident using it. I understand Spanish well and can speak a little, and French is one of my new passions — I'm just beginning to learn it

I consider myself someone who loves adventures and discovering how things work. This curiosity has led me to explore many different experiences, both professionally and personally.

Professionally, I have worked as a receptionist, secretary, teacher, speaker, and I currently guide teenagers through career orientation. Teaching has always been close to my heart, and I truly enjoy working with all age groups.

On a personal level, one of the most meaningful experiences I had was living in London for almost three years, from 1996 to 2000. During that time, I worked as a live-in nanny, taking care of three children in a family home. Later, I also worked in a credit card processing company as a data entry operator.

After returning to Brazil, I completed my degree in Language and Literature, which allowed me to work as an English teacher for children. Later, I took part in a financial education project designed for young learners. At another point, I became interested in sustainability and wrote a project about recycling intimate apparel.

I also have a strong personal interest in music — I love singing, even though it’s just for joy and not professionally. Another passion of mine is tea, especially the Camellia sinensis plant. I'm fascinated by everything related to it: planting, harvesting, processing, and tasting.

Additionally, I enjoy learning about education in general — how we learn, how we teach, and how we can improve the learning experience for others.

All these experiences have shaped who I am and awakened in me a deep appreciation for cultural exchange. I believe that participating in this program will allow me to keep growing, learning, and contributing in meaningful ways. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and to be inspired by new people, places, and perspectives.

  • What else ...

As hobbies, I’m passionate about tea — especially exploring its many flavors and traditions. About a year ago, I discovered ceramics, which has awakened an artistic side of me that I hadn’t explored before. I love music, especially listening to choirs, and whenever I have the chance, I enjoy being part of one. I also like discovering new ways to connect with teenagers, playing dominoes, and reading. More recently, I started taking rhythm and dance classes, which has been a joyful and energizing experience.
