Alex is very passionate about preserving this jungle space and has an immense respect for nature. His simple way of living and maintaining balance between both sides of the world is very inspiring. He was very kind to cater my need of vegetarian food. He has great travel and off grid living stories. I cherish the time I spent talking to him about almost everything. Also, he is very open for new ideas and welcomes all kinds of creativity and art work. He doesn't boss around. I felt right at home. I look forward to coming back and contributing more to the project. I wish all the good things for him. May the jungle be always protected and embrace its children

Kelsey is simply the best. We have been doing workaway for about 10 years and she is in our top 4 of all time. She is smart, hard working, loyal, considerate, capable, fun, cool, and makes great decisions. She is a leader and is 100% reliable. We are happy to share her with the world but will miss her greatly.

Tiziana ended up housesitting for me as I was going to be away on the dates she wanted to stay. She did a really wonderful job of caring for my 3 cats and some silkworms for about a week and kept me updated on how they were going. I highly recommend her as she is easy going and took great care of my home and pets.

I spend here, 6,5 weeks (November-January). Do you know the meaning of the word: anticipatory nostalgia? -is that bittersweet feeling of missing the present moment even as it's happening, because you know it will soon become a cherished memory- This is what especially the last week felt like! Just knowing how much I will miss the magic of this place while still living in it; hopping kangaroos in the living room, wombats joining the feeding at 5 outside, colourfull parrots flying around, giving bottles to the kangaroos, having a sleeping kangaroo on top of you, living in the woods, with people that feel like a big family! Manfred, the host, is such an amazing person!!! Always open to teach you something and laugh! He is extremely kind and he made this entire incredible experience even better!!! Beside the typical day of cleaning enclosures, desinfecting water and feeding bowls, giving bottles, making milk, laundry, giving medicine, cleaning the bottles etc. I also got to join a couple of rescue missions! This was sometimes intense, and hard, but also so rewarding and so special to witness!!! My favourite memories were the evenings, they were most of the time spend socially! People that feel like a family sitting around the table while a snoring kangaroo named Chicane is sleeping on the couch, and Kevlar having the zoomies, while Pecker is sucking someone's finger, while Rizzo wants to play with someone and Sparks is just chilling somewhere... And around 21:30 (9:30PM) is another bottle feeding time, the noises they make while enoying their milk is also just magical! And after enjoying their bottles, they often wash their nose, which is so cute and incredible to see too!!! If you are thinking about coming, or think it is too good to be true, it is as amazing as it sounds, maybe even better somehow!!! Do it, you will not regret it! And enjoy every single second because time will literally hop by!!! These 6 weeks, I will cherish forever!!! And I will make more weeks here, that I will cherish forever, because I will come back next month and the month after that!

I had a wonderful two weeks with Rachel and David on the farm. They were great hosts—we cooked together, shared music, and exchanged lots of stories. We went on trips to waterfalls and to Nimbin, had dinner with friends, went swimming, and spent many fun evenings at the Tavern. I truly felt at home there <3

What an incredible property and experience at Tuei and Tim's place out in the woods near El Bolsón! There are so many different projects on the go and Tim is always super supportive in letting you choose the tasks that are a good fit for you. He's also encouraging about sharing ideas and brainstorming possible solutions together. I also really liked that he gives volunteers lots of autonomy during the day to switch between tasks when necessary to keep things interesting and give your body a break from challenging physical tasks. He's also very flexible about how you complete your hours during working days which is super helpful for pacing and planning. Tim and Tuei are both super kind, fun, down to earth, generous, and all around lovely human beings to hang out with. Tim is also a really great cook and I will remember those amazing shared meals very fondly. I also really loved the other volunteers I met during my time there and miss them already. The time went by way too fast! I highly recommend volunteering here and I would love to come back again sometime. Thank you Tim and Tuei for such an incredible week!

What a great time I had at Charlie’s Hostel! There’s really nothing left to praise that hasn’t already been said in the comments. It’s simply amazing to stay in this small town with such an incredible wave. Charlie is friendly, appreciative and funny, and he places a lot of trust in you. Thanks, Charlie, for having me!

Me quedé 10 días en este hostel familiar y tuve una experiencia maravillosa. Mi tiempo de trabajo se distribuía generalmente a lo largo de la semana de la siguiente manera: de lunes a jueves, ayudaba en el albergue, y de viernes a domingo, en la recepción. Gracias a toda la familia (extendida) que me recibió con los brazos abiertos. Pude vivir una auténtica Navidad con una familia boliviana. Tengo que destacar que la comida que preparan Cande o Mercedes siempre es increíble, equilibrada y con muchos colores. La familia es muy sociable, lo que siempre es agradable para discutir múltiples temas en la mesa. Además, la vida en Samaipata es tranquila, y hay muchas rutas de senderismo para hacer en los alrededores durante los días libres, incluyendo la que lleva al mirador del pueblo. ¡Si pudiera, volvería sin dudarlo! :)

We had such an amazing time with Chris and Derek! We couldn’t ask for a more lovely experience than the one we had. They are so welcoming, friendly, and kind. Chris was so sweet, and we loved Derek’s jokes. We truly enjoyed every moment. The tasks were simple and clearly explained, and they always took good care of us. Learning about local life, experiencing a different culture, and sharing beautiful bush walks, BBQs, meals, ice cream, and so many more memories were all so special to us. These are experiences we have never had before in our lives. If you are reading this review now and thinking about staying with them, we highly recommend it! We truly appreciate everything they did for us, and we love them,Chris and Derek, their friendly dogs (Surge & Clio), and their lovely horses (Moki & Tiga)! We wish Chris and Derek all the best in the future!

the hotel and the environment is extremely beautiful, a lot of nature, two very nice beaches in walking distance and trails for hiking. The work was fair and the employees are very nice and so is the host!

We arrived at the temple in november 2025 ( coincedently a celebratory month for the temple) and we were met with warm welcomes from all the kind souls there. We felt at home immediately and were encouraged to play our instruments during the kirtan. This was a highlight for us, learning new styles of music which we now miss playing. We even got the chance to play our music for the lovely cows we got to work with aswell. We got to expereince trying out lots of different jobs: such as, helping in the kithcen, making flower ornaments for the alter, making cookies for the temple shop and serving the food at mealtimes. Being in this enviornment allowed us to immerse ourselves in a new culture and learn many new traditions that were very eye opening and enjoyable to experience. We looked forward to the mealtimes everyday, delicious and nutritious ayurvedic food and fresh milk from the cows each evening. We had a great time exploring the scenic countryside and enjoyed bike rides through the bavarian forests. We miss all the people there who were so kind to us, including other volunteers and the devotees who lived there and we look forward to another visit in the future to this beautiful, peaceful temple. A special thanks to Bryan and Gopi Geta who hosted us with such care and accommodated us very thoughtfully, making our experience all the better! Raquel staid 3 weeks at our home, it has been great experience, both for parents and the kids ! Raquel has shown great enthusiasm, she has been a reliable and efficient support in the daily life, with a constant smile and positive mood. She has brought some nice flavours of the spanish culture, that will be remembered ! Looking forward to welcome her again !!

Négar a passé deux mois parmis dont les fêtes de fin d'année. Elle est super douce, fine et calme. Les enfants ont adoré passer des moments avec elle quand elle était avec nous à la maison, jouer a des jeux, faire des soirées mimes ou autres activités. Ils ont adoré cuisiner ensemble de merveilleux gateaux, et aussi nous avons adoré les manger. Elle a très bien su s'adapter à la vie de la maison et gérer en mon absence les soirées avec les enfants Je vous la recommande chaudement

Okay, theese two gems are just WOW! Im in lack of words trying to describe theese beautiful gentlemen, and the time we spent together. They really touched our hearts. The whole family simply loves them. Max and Rémi are two outstanding men. Young yet more mature than most people twize their age. Advanced in so many areas. Advanced, wise and full of knowledge in so many areas. We were treated with so much love and respect. We had many deep conversations, shared deep feelings and lifestories. We also shared alot of fun, singing songs and had an epic dance evening I will never forget. They were incredibly hardworking and helpful and put their heart in every task they performed. We look forward being together with them again, they are both always welcome here.

Fue una cosa rara que pasó conmigo y Viviane, ella me escribió y al otro día vino en mi casa por que otro viajero cancelo. Para mi suerte o algo maior que eso, nuestra conexión fue inmediata como si ya nos conocimos por anos. En la casa las cosas fluyan naturalmente sin grandes planes, un día limpiando la casita ,otro arreglando cosas en el jardín o cocinando recetas esquisitas así pasó volando 20 días . Cosechamos frutas del jardín y cocinamos mermeladas y tartas . Quel amable y siempre respetadora es Viviane... todo tiempo sonriendo, fueron días maravillosos. Bonne chance a toi ma Cherie Viviane etc merci beaucoup pour cê bon moment que on est passé ensemble, j'espere te revoir un jour pour le monde ✨🙏🏾🥰!

I volunteered for a month at this beautiful property. I loved it all. I had such a great time working hard and getting to be independent in picking from the list of jobs to do. Tim is a really great guy and I’m so glad I’ve gotten to meet him and become friends. Tim is a great cook also and you won't go hungry and he is just the best to be around. Always helpful and easygoing. We had a lot of good times together. Also getting to meet and connect with Tuay and the other volunteers has been so great. It felt like a home away from home. Spending the early mornings having coffee and then off to work and then swims in the river every day was just perfect. Lots of funny moments which made me feel very comfortable the whole time. I saw a lot of change happen whilst I was here and can really see the vision. I really enjoyed my time here. I will be coming back one day for sure and I’m super keen to see the progress of everything. 🤎✌🏼⛰️🌲

Massimo and Martina are really sweet amazing people and we are so happy and grateful for our time together. Lots of love, smiles, kindness, positivity and respect are words that comes to mind when I think of them. We had such a fun, friendly and relaxed vibe together. They were also great with our children and pets. Great people. I smile when I think of them.

Fue nuestro primer Workaway y pasamos un mes inolvidable en el refugio. Desde el primer día nos sentimos como en casa. Cada animal tiene su propio carácter, su energía y su historia y pasar tiempo con ellos fue muy gratificante. El trabajo es variado, interesante y cada día te deja la sensación de haber hecho algo importante. Conocimos voluntarios maravillosos, con quienes compartimos momentos de trabajo, risas y muchas comidas juntos. Fran, Sandra y su pequeña son personas increíbles, muy amables, acogedoras y siempre disponibles para ayudar, con un gran amor por este proyecto tan especial. Volveremos seguro! ❤️

We stayed with Shirley and Ueli for 2 weeks and we were so sad we couldn't stay longer due to existing plans. We had an amazing time and definitely would encourage anyone to stay with them if you get chance! They're both such funny and kind people, it was really lovely to meet them. As soon as we arrived they were very welcoming and really did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our time, including lending us a car so we could go to the beach and camping, and taking us to a rodeo! There was a good variety of work, we helped with the horses, scraped and painted a house, jet washed, weeded and helped in the vegetable garden. We loved all the dogs and the horses, they all had their own funny personalities and there was always someone around looking for a cuddle! Thanks again and we will definitely visit if we're back in Tas again!

It was a real pleasure to host Mian in my home. She’s a highly intelligent hard working person with excellent English skills and a delight to have around. Mian added value to everything she did and was a delight to have around. Highly recommend.
