Eoin and CoCo were very easy going to host. They were willing to jump on board with any task I asked for and were happy and aware enough to do additional tasks without me needing to ask. They were enthusiastic to learn as much as possible about working and living in nature and I especially enjoyed pruning the olive trees with them. They were fun to have around the house chatting away and having a laugh with my sister and me. When I was away and busy elsewhere, I felt confident leaving them and they were happy to entertain themselves.

Fue simplemente increíble! He disfrutado mucho mi estancia y he vivido experiencias nuevas y fantásticas. --------------------------------------------------------- It was simply awesome! I have enjoyed my stay a lot and have experienced many new and fantastic things. I have learnt a lot about coffee, food, culture, people, and life on a farm. However, most importantly, I could enjoy each day with a lovely family that accepted me as one of theirs. I can recommend this place and the project there. Get yourself ready to enjoy your time! Thank you for everything!

Our workaway experience with Mati was well banging. We felt at home right away and he made sure we had everything we needed and were feeling comfortable. Mati is a great host always checking in with you. He cooked tasty, healthy, food and showed us around to the villages and introduced his friends . He also has a good sense of humour and an easy personality to be around. The work we did was very varied and he made sure we had plenty of free time to do our own thing. Sometimes he had to go out and help some other people in the community. During those times he gave us full trust over the house and we were free to decide to continue with some work fun or fun fun (no work), as he calls it. We learned a lot about different ways of harvesting and pruning olive trees, wild foraging and the properties of wild plants and also what it takes to move to the countryside and live off the land. The experience exceeded our expectations. Gratzie Mille Mati!

The time we spent with Raul was so wonderful that I took my friends along so that they could also have a wonderful time with him and his brother Mario. We have already been there twice. In the morning, Raul gives you a few tasks to do. For example, we painted, varnished, and raked leaves. He keeps coming back to check if you are doing well. In general, you can tell how important it is to him that everyone is doing well. We often spent our evenings playing games, watching movies, or listening to music together. Raul makes incredibly delicious food! I would really recommend everyone to spend time with him! It's very worthwhile!

I've stayed for 11 days at Noya's place and really enjoyed the calmness of beeing in nature, surrounded by great views and lovely animals! Noya had to spend some time in Bogota when we just arrived, but when she came back she really made an effort to make me and the other volunteers feel at home. We shared nice colombian meals and talked a lot about life in general and our planet. These conversations were special and really added something extra to the whole experience. Again thank you for everything Noya! 😀

Tomas... Where do we even start... This experience really changed our lifes and the way we look at the things. We've stayed about a month at this magical place in the jungle and learned so so so many things about ourselves, nature, love and gratitude. We loved painting, fixing, building things in all of this amazing place that we can now call home. And Tomas, what an amazing person, so kind and helpful. We learned to be more healthy both mentally and physically. We could say a million things about this place and Tomas, but what I can say for now is just thank you. We will always be grateful for this experience. We will definitely go back one day if it's possible. Love, peace and gratitude. Lea and Max.

Pisac is a wonderful place. Such peace and spirituality like we've never experienced before. This was the perfect place to stay at. It's one of the most beautiful and clean hostels I've ever been to. It was like staying with family. Great people and great memories. The work was staying at the reception and welcoming new Guests. Super lovely to meet all kinds of people with all kinds of Historys. This place and Pisac will forever stay in our heart. Gracias!

Our experience in this amazing place for 2 weeks was memorable and peaceful. We learned all kinds of things and this experience was definitely the best start for our adventures in Peru. Learning about the ways of a community in a remote place like this made everything better, we enjoyed our shared meals, free times and end of days. The works were mostly physical, we could always choose something different and that was really fun and never repetitive. Santi is an amazing spiritual person, we learn a lot with him and the trip to the colca canyon made the experience perfect. Thanks a lot. With love and peace, Lea and Max

We stayed with Masika and Desire for just under a month, and it really was a transformative time for us. As the school was closed during our stay, we chose to focus mainly on the behind-the-scenes work of the foundation, particularly marketing and communications. We had some really valuable training sessions with Desire, Doreen, Masika and Stewart, where we were able to share our skills and ideas and learn from them in return. Masika and Desire really let you play to your strengths. They are so open to whatever you can offer and are so knowledgeable yet humble too which made things so easy. At the beginning there was a bit of culture shock, and we were also slightly concerned about the presidential elections happening at the time. However, we felt pretty safe throughout our stay, and once the village gets to know you, you feel even more secure and welcomed. Some of the older orphans were staying with us and they were incredible. They cooked for us, spent time talking with us, and showed us so much kindness. Getting to know them was one of the most special parts of our experience and it was genuinely hard to say goodbye. We would have loved to spend more time with them and hope to do so when we return. Highlights included going on morning runs with one of the boys and Georgie encouraging one of the girls to write poetry and read and share plot summaries. The food was always good, and when Georgie became very unwell for about a week, everyone took such good care of her and made sure she had food she could manage. Everyone was so understanding when she wasn’t super energetic and able to do loads. Thank you for this ❤️ We also loved spending time with the puppies and with Masika and Desire’s two children, who brought so much joy to daily life. We are in awe of what Masika has built and the impact of this foundation. It is truly inspiring. Thank you to Masika for creating something so meaningful. Thank you to Desire for being so open to our ideas and for all the thoughtful and engaging conversations. Thank you to Doreen for your support and kindness throughout our stay. You are now all friends of ours ❤️ This experience, Uganda and Kasese will stay with us for a long time. Thank you again 🥹

A very beautiful and fascinating experience, together with all the people I met, including members or students of the College and of the organization. Extraordinarily helpful and kind people: Rahma, who welcomed me at the airport and took care of me for more than two weeks, an interesting person with a great sense of humor; the mysterious and one-of-a-kind Stanley, sweet, intelligent, and always ready to eat! Paul, with whom I had some great conversations and who will surely become an excellent guide; Yusuf, incredibly funny and extremely skilled in teaching English. Athumani, quiet and discreet, but with a vast and detailed cultural knowledge. And of course Dilenga, extremely kind and helpful, truly an extraordinary person. A big hug to the wonderful Bright sisters, and to all the other people I crossed paths with, even at the very end, both volunteers and those who were just passing through the house. For those reading, I’ll leave a few practical details: I was in charge of creating some videos to promote the activities of the college and the NGO; everything was a bit improvised, because until I arrived it was difficult to understand how things would work. Despite some initial uncertainty, everything went very well, and I am currently finishing the editing. The house is welcoming; I stayed in a single room, everything very simple and essential. Lots of rice, beans (always very good), and the legendary chapati. And of course, impossible to forget ugali. Overall, a place where it is possible to leave a personal contribution, both cultural and practical, and a place I absolutely want to return to. The ABC project is a project worth supporting, and it deserves all the support possible.

Annemarie was a great person to have around, helping, visiting with and just spending time together. She had plenty of experience with farm work having been raised on a farm and helping the family. We really enjoyed her and her easygoing attitude. Very helpful and keen to get stuck into the daily chores and whatever came up. Thank you, Annemarie for spending some of your time with us last summer!

Mariusz was a really amazing energy and person to have in the space. He is great with carpentry but most of all he has a positive attitude and a fun person to spend time with! Always looking to help and share his life wisdom too - thank you for the visit!

I had the opportunity to spend more than two weeks at Gwen and Arnauds house, four days of which I took care of the animals by myself while they went on vacation. Things got a bit challenging at first because we all got sick, but they handled everything really well and made me feel comfortable even when they were having a tough time themselves. I was very smitten by all the animals and loved to learn from Gwen, who has a lot of knowledge to share, As I had been in more agricultural settings before, it was really beautiful to see with how much passion and idealism they are approaching taking care of the animals. Also, they were very willing to speak French even when sometimes I couldn’t really get across what I wanted to say, so it’s a perfect place to learn or improve your language skills :) So thanks again for hosting me and hoping there’ll be many other people benefiting from an exchange with you!

Cédric was one of the best volunteers I’ve had on the ranch since I’ve started hosting. He’s hardworking and always has a positive attitude. He took great care of my foster cat Cali and always completed his tasks without any hesitation. I would highly recommend Cédric! And he’s welcome back here anytime!

We stayed at the house of Marc and Ross just over two weeks. When we arrived they had bought a large bag of food which covered all our essentials for the week. We stayed in the accommodation near the donkeys, so that we could keep them company. I enjoyed this a lot as I love non-human animals and really enjoyed spending time and taking care of them. They can be a little noisy during the night, and let you know when dawn rises that breakfast is expected, but I am sure Marc and ross would have moved us to another spot if this would be a problem! Ross is very sweet smart and kind hearted person passionate about garden projects. We didn't see her so often as she was often busy with work. We spent most of the time working with Marc. Our roles with Marc were mostly being an assistant to his van conversion, and cleaning for his various accommodations across the island. Marc is very knowledgeable about cleaning and construction, and has a very particular way of working, so you will fair well if you have an eye for perfection and can work closely with someone's instructions. He has an alternative view of reality which we would often hear about during our shifts. Working hours are very clear and well structured, and the rest of the time there is no social expectation which worked well with my need to work during the evenings and weekends. Thanks for hosting us!
