    Description

    Hi to you all,
I am Eva, not the youngest anymore (68) but full of ideas to embellish our home and wishing to share our beautiful area.
We recently bought some land behind our house which we would like to transform into a vegetable and flower garden. As I had some surgery I can't do heavy work like extracting bushes and carrying stones. Here your help is mainly needed. My husband is a busy wood worker in his nearby workshop and has little time for gardening.
Our house is from 1889 and we are trying to keep its character as much as possible.
We are 20 min from Narbonne, 35 min from the Mediterranen Sea, 1 hour from the Pyrenees a village located in the "basses Corbières" .
We are Germans living here since 1996 and still fascinated by the landscape.
We speak German, English and French and like to share our knowledge.
My husband's mother lives in a little house in the garden and our dog and cat are also part of the family.

I like to do team work but also appreciate when tasks can be done independently, like planting , tidying up, cleaning.
We are vegetarians and love to cook vegetables that grow wild. We also pick medical and aromatic plants and dry them for teas and seasoning.
Our approach towards nature is to preserve and recycle a maximum.

A car is quite useful here but you can also go by bus to Narbonne and continue travelling around by train and bus. On Sunday we don't work and can show you the beautiful hidden treasuries of nature and historical buildings. For those interested in history you will find more than you expect.
Be prepared to have lots of sun and wind which is typical for the region.
