Description
Hi!, Myself (Kate 42), my son Llewyn 6 and partner Heath 47 , have a gorgeous patch of land on a community in the hills near Yandina, QLD. We are keen gardeners and have a established food forest with many weird and wonderful tropical fruit trees as well as a big tunnel house veggie garden. A big dam to swim in and a humble caravan area for your private stay, it has power, water and internet.
We're looking for keen helpers to join us doing our creative off grid, down to earth projects, there are countless exciting projects on the go that we would love help with perhaps something to suit everyone?
Please be aware this is OFF GRID and although close to town , you will encounter plenty of snakes and spiders, It's basic living out here with no flush toilets.Types of help and learning opportunities

I have lots of plant/permaculture knowledge to share and Heath is a builder. We would be more than happy to share all our knowledge while doing tasks together.
We value clean healthy food, we eat some meat but are happy to cater for vegetarians.
Yandina town(15min)is a lovely little town with all the basics you need for supplies, every Saturday there is a big very popular market where we get local produce. Coolum beach is 20m from town, stunning. There are plenty of gorgeous spots around, including local water holes and waterfalls, mountain hikes, national parks, Were happy to show you all of them.
Travellers can experience a rather unique way of off grid living in a very welcoming and friendly environment.
We intend to share as many skills as we can and make there stay as enjoyable as possible, while benefiting from some much needed labour hours on our property.
I also miss travelling, and welcome the energy and enthusiasm travellers often bring.Help

Accommodation
We can provide a cute very well made, insulated caravan to sleep in,with its own internet, electric and water and clean bedding. And a large (work in progress) caravan for more space if needed.
You will share Llewyn and my bathroom and compost toilet and kitchen and laundry.
I can provide all mealsWhat else ...
I drive into town every weekday so can offer lifts, there is a train in yandina that connects to Brisbane city.
If you have your own vehicle, please be aware our property is up a long steep dirt road, and although all cars can make it, some find it difficult, especially old vans and when it's wet.A little more information
