    Description

I'm a 28-year-old French man who just bought a house in the countryside of France, with some renovation projects underway. I'm easygoing, sociable, and I enjoy meeting new people from different backgrounds. I have a busy and fun social life — always up for a drink, a good chat, or a walk around town.

I'm currently learning English, so hosting Workawayers is also a great opportunity for me to practice. I speak French fluently, of course, and I’m happy to help you improve if you're learning too!

At home, I try to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Whether it’s sharing meals, discovering new recipes together, or working on the house, I enjoy the little moments of everyday life.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I’ll be happy to help you improve your French if you want, whether through casual conversation or language tips. In return, I’d love to practice my English with you — it’s a win-win!

You’ll also get a real taste of daily life in France, from sharing homemade meals to exploring the local area together or with my friends. I'm always happy to introduce travellers to French culture, traditions off the tourist path.

I offer a comfortable private bedroom and free meals, and you’re welcome to stay as long as you like, as long as the experience is positive for both of us. My place is relaxed, social, and ideal for anyone who enjoys both independence and connection.

I'm currently renovating my house and would really appreciate some help with various projects. There’s always something to do — from painting, plastering, and basic construction work to cleaning, gardening, cooking, and general daily tasks around the house.

I’m happy to adapt the tasks based on your abilities and interests. If you enjoy learning new things and working with your hands, you'll feel right at home here.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Chartres city centre is just 15 minutes by bike (I have 4 bikes available at home), and it's a wonderful place to visit. Chartres is known for its stunning cathedral, charming streets, and vibrant cultural scene. It's a lovely town to discover on foot or by bike!

If you feel like exploring more, Paris is only 1 hour away by train, making it easy to take day trips during your time off. Whether you want to visit the city’s iconic landmarks, enjoy its museums, or just stroll through the neighbourhoods, Paris offers endless possibilities.

There’s also a lot to see in the surrounding area, including nature reserves, historical sites, and picturesque villages.

With all the nearby sights and easy transport links, you’ll have plenty to do and discover during your stay!
