    Description

We have an ancient farm house that is waking up from a long sleep, and preparing itself to welcome" differently-abled" people, some long-term, like your humble servant (Mehdi) and some short term, like my friends, relatives, neighbours, pilgrims, hosts ...and YOU !, to share a simple, sobre and joyful lifestyle. (minimal consumption of energy (renewable) etc. )
smoke and drug-free... but we might get high singing praises to the Lord!! ;)

the garden/ park /orchard, has fruit trees and bushes, flowers, wild edibles, and some vegetables,
it also hosts loads of butterflies, buzzing insects and birds! (thanks to its exuberant adventices ! )

There is a lovely spot to nap under the magnolia ... :)

we eat organic and healthy food ; we have a wonderful market for local veggies, fruit, eggs, cheese, fish and bread. ... and fair-traded chocolate! ;)

we agree with this visionary exhortation:

"Christians are called to an ecological conversion that involves letting all the consequences of their encounter with Christ spring forth to the world around them. Living their vocation of protectors of the work of God is an essential part of a virtuous existence, neither optional nor secondary in a Christian life "Pope Francis," Laudato Si "

we are right beside the Santiago trail, by the Lot river: you can go and walk along it.
we are a 12 mn walk to our Cahédrale and downtown Cahors,...which is a interesting town to visit: a rich history...and a promising future! ;)

Vous pourrez pratiquer le français si vous voulez, but also english if you prefer... y podemos hablar (un poquito!) espanol si quieres!

I am teacher of natural vision, as well as kinesiologist (to relieve pains and stress) and I have some knowledge on healthy food and medicinal plants.

we have a large variety of activities, indoors as well as outdoors, according to the weather, the seasons and your preferences:

loads of painting (with natural, no-toxic paint or oil), gardening (permaculture principles) and fun projects such as building a solar shower a fruit dryer, and a hen house...recycling rain water, etc.

some cleaning and freshening up to do as well...or cutting and sorting out dry wood for the winter.

The food is of the highest quality; every meal is made of fresh and organic produce, cooked at low temperature, mostly gluten, lactose, salt and sugar free. highly nutritious and hypotoxic. that's why we expect an extra hour/day of work than most hosts: 5 hours/day with breakfast and lunch (you can go out from mid-afternoon to 9 pm.) or 6 hours/day with 3 meals. (we eat between 5 and 6 pm, so you can still go and explore Cahors for a few hours)
if you stay a second week, you'll work an hour less per day...

no wifi in the house but downtown.
you will sleep in a bedroom in the house, unless you prefer to put up your tent in the garden !?
the house setting is simple and comfortable ,you will help keeping it clean, tidying up and improving it little by little.
we all retire around 9:30 p.m.... and get up early: we have breakfast between 7:30 and 8 am.
the patio, entirely covered with wisteria, is simply wonderful! we take our meals there most of the time in spring summer and fall...
