Description
Hello ,
We are Carla and Maurizio, and together with our family we run Agriturismo, a historic countryside house set on a hill among olive trees, close to the Tuscan coast and the famous wine region of Bolgheri.
Hospitality here is not just a profession — it is a lifestyle. Daily life at the agriturismo is dynamic, authentic and deeply connected to nature. We welcome guests looking for a real Tuscan experience, and we enjoy sharing our passion for good food, simple beauty, and genuine human connections.
We are looking for a friendly and responsible couple who truly loves nature and countryside life. Respect for the environment is essential for us. Living here means being surrounded by wildlife (including wild boars!), open landscapes, and peaceful rural rhythms, so feeling comfortable in a natural setting is important.
We especially appreciate people who are independent and comfortable managing their own free time and private space. We believe the best exchange happens when everyone feels comfortable both sharing moments together and enjoying autonomy. Life here can be lively during working hours and peaceful afterwards, and we appreciate people who naturally adapt to this rhythm.
We offer a private bungalow among the olive trees, perfect for a couple who appreciates quiet surroundings, independence, and a real immersion into the Tuscan countryside.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Hosting Workawayers for us is about meeting people, exchanging perspectives, and creating meaningful experiences together. You will have the opportunity to learn about Italian hospitality, rural life, and traditional cuisine, especially through our small restaurant, where authentic local gastronomy plays a central role.
At the same time, we love learning from our guests — languages, cultures, and different ways of seeing the world are always welcome here.
If you are curious, respectful, open-minded and happy to be part of a small team where everyone contributes, we will be happy to welcome you 🙂

Help
Help is mainly divided into two parts of the day:
Morning (approx. 10:00–13:00):
– resetting the breakfast area
– helping with guest room cleaning
– light housekeeping
– helping maintain the garden, park, or pool area
Evening (approx. 19:00–24:00):
– helping at our restaurant. This is a great opportunity to experience Italian restaurant culture and learn how a small family-run place works behind the scenes.
This corresponds to approximately 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are free days, giving you time to explore the region and integrate socially.
With two consecutive days off, you can explore Tuscany in depth: historic villages, the nearby coast, and especially the Bolgheri wine area — an inspiring destination for anyone passionate about wine, gastronomy, or hospitality projects.
As we are a business, we provide free accommodation plus monetary payment according to Italian minimum wage regulations for all hours worked.
