My husband works mostly from home for a business research consulting company. He is able bodied, healthy and enjoys cycling and playing basketball. I am physically disabled ( I use a wheelchair) an active swimmer and cycler and mosaic artist. We are non smokers, omnivores, and enjoy locally grown fresh food. Concord MA is the birthplace of the American Revolution and home of the Transcendental movement. There are many historic sites, museums, galleries, beautiful walking and biking and nature trails. In addition you may swim, borrow the kayaks or bikes to visit the surrounding farms and historic sites. We are a 30 min drive or one hour train ride from Boston.
Because I am a person with a disability I have adapted my environment to enable me to have an active life that involves swimming, cycling, creating mosaic art and participating in local government. I am a local disability advocate . If you are interested in disability policy or the lived experience of disability you can observe the ways I have adapted my home in order to independently do things.
Or - if you like to learn how to create mosaic representations of the beautiful creatures and natural surrounding here I can teach you the basics of mosaic art. You will learn to cut stained glass and tiles, design, lay out, adhere the glass to a substrate, grout and create your own work of art you can have as a souvenir of your experience.

    Help

We would like some help building a small stone retaining wall. We have the stones but need help with actually making it. The wall is intended to be functional. It is needed to reinforce the footing that a heating/ac compressor is sitting on. It will be one sided, needs to be about three feet long and about two feet high. We don’t need a professional mason, just someone with a bit more experience and muscle than ourselves. My husband will assist with the project.
