    Description

    Hi,

We're Max and Saskia. Our journey together began during a backpacking adventure across Asia, where our paths crossed. Now, we've put down roots in Heemstede, residing on a charming old monastery estate - along with our two kids of 2 and 5 years old, two goats and seven chicken. Our current project involves cultivating a woodland plot, and we'd love some helping hands to join us.

Heemstede boasts an ideal location, nestled close to Amsterdam, Leiden, as well as the coastline and Haarlem – the last two easily accessible by bicycle. We share a passion for the outdoors and love gardening brings. Of course, we also relish the pleasures of indulging in delicious food and raising a glass to good times during sun sets.

Looking forward to meeting fellow enthusiasts!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We absolutely love having new people over to our home. However, it's important to note that our family life is quite busy, and we highly value independence and self-sufficiency. Our daily routine is filled with the hustle and bustle of work, school, extracurricular activities, and various other commitments.

We encourage our guests to explore the area and make discoveries along the way. To make your adventures even more enjoyable, we have two bicycles at your disposal. Feel free to grab one. Heemstede is centrally located, allowing you to easily bike to Haarlem, and with good accessibility to Leiden, Amsterdam, and The Hague. Speaking of Haarlem, it offers a charming blend of history, culture, and picturesque scenery. From its historic architecture to vibrant markets and cozy cafes.
