    Description

    Hello,

    (French Speaking Au Pair)

We are Amelia and Adam and we would be your hosts. Amelia is a University Lecturer and Adam is a Biodynamic Cranial Osteopath. Despite a love of slow living we are busy busy so we need help with daily family life in the country. We are looking for a French Speaking Au Pair to help with language classes and childcare.

We have a farmhouse and woodland plot in which we are making into a permaculture project. We are at the beginning of the process but the plot has cabins, fruit and nut trees, vegetables and herb beds, bees, and chickens.

Our interests are sustainable cultures, holistic health, foraging, biodynamics, herbalism, permaculture, surfing, yoga, activism, design, cookery and living well. We moved here after many years of traveling, working, and learning and now we have a young family and are setting up life on the (very small) farm.

We have children who we raise with lots of outdoor education. They are fun and extremely active! Experience with young children is essential and references are required. We seek an extra pair of adult hands for varied practical help.

We ask for 5 hours of help per day, 5 days per week (two full days off) with good meals included. In return we can share our space and a lot of experience. We have both travelled the world working as professional holistic health practitioners and have spent a lot of time enjoying life as well as working hard. We love meeting interesting people and we are very open to hearing your story and learning from you.

If that sounds good get in touch.

    Hope to see you soon,

    A & A

We are a relatively skilled couple and can help you learn about sustainability, higher order thinking, foraging, biodynamic gardening, herbalism, permaculture, surfing, yoga, holistic health, activism, design, and cooking. The place is like a woodland secret garden so it's a pretty cool space to hang out in.

The children are FULL of energy, playful, and happy :-)

The beaches and surrounding areas here are beautiful. Dunbar and North Berwick are close by. Belhaven is a great beginner surf spot and the beach and woodland at Tyninghame is wonderful for walking. Our plot is close to the city of Edinburgh (25 mins by train) so you can enjoy the city too.
