We live on a remote station on the edge of Shark Bay World Heritage Area in Western Australia. Shark Bay has vast amounts of wilderness areas to explore with beautiful landscapes and unique wildlife. We work for an environmental conservation organisation and to live this lifestyle we are required to homeschool our two children (age 9 and 10). We are looking for support with schooling our children for 20 hours a week for short durations of time (minimum 3 weeks at time).

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We enjoy exploring nature and being outside. We also enjoy staying around home and playing board games. We both have post-secondary education in environmental science and management. We are happy to share it with the right person.
We make major trips to town for shopping every 1-2 months and try to get to Denham every 1-2 weeks.

The children attend School of the Air which provides up to an hour and half of lessons four days a week. The teachers provide online lessons for english and math, and the rest of the curriculum is left to the parents or home tutors to complete (HASS, science, health, sport).

We are looking for someone Monday to Thursday between the school hours of 08:00-15:00 to support the children with their learning and occasionally assist with sorting food out at lunch.
Essential skills include:
- ability to use computers and software
- strong reading, writing and math skills
- ability to communicate and provide constructive feedback
- multi-tasking and organisational skills
- an interest in education and primary school educational topics
- ability to live remotely with a small group of staff and occasional interact with visitors

Accommodation
We have a variety of options available for private rooms, with a shared bathroom and kitchen. The homestead is large and has plenty of space.
We are happy to share meals that we are making for the family. We can accommodate some dietary requirements, but not all requests can be accommodated.
What else ...
There are limited options for transport in the area. There are schedules times, but a vehicle would allow the best opportunity to explore the area on days off.
We are employed to be on the station, and therefore have many policies we must abide by. Permissions will need to be approved prior to determination of a work away arrangement.
