    Description

We are a non-profit organization that has as its 4 pillars education, arts, religion, and recreation. We provide room and meals to guests and staff who stay with us for a week or 2. Our guests come from all over the country. Our work opportunities include light housekeeping, serving and clearing after the dinner meal, and other hospitality services. While the work may not be glamorous, there are wonderful opportunities to enjoy music (classical, jazz, contemporary, etc.), ballet and modern dance, popular artists such as Sheryl Crow and Jay Leno), recreation on a beautiful lake (kayaking, sailing, swimming), lectures by experts in their field (Fareed Zakaria, Nadia Murad (Nobel Peace Prize winner), and many others).

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

While workawayers are expected to complete their tasks, most find that within the work day here at the Presbyterian House, there is ample opportunity to attend and/or participate in any of the activities offered. This is the ideal place to learn and work given the nature of the programs offered. It offers cultural and educational opportunities throughout its 9 week season. Additionally, our guests and staff come from all over the country and bring their own unique perspectives and views with them. They interact with our staff throughout the day.
