Description
Hey there,
we are a German family of 4 that is interested in all kinds of alternative lifestyles. We appreciate everyone‘s unique character and skills and like to learn from others.
We live in a rural area in north-west Germany. The next big city (50.000 residents) is close by and easy to access via public transport. If you are into hiking you‘ll love the low mountain ranges nearby.
Our property is a house with a big garden. We have some chicken and also bee hives. Apart from our family, another family lives in the same house. Their children also use our garden.

We would love to host families with kids so that our children can get involved with yours. But that is optional.
We can offer you taking part in our everyday life which particularly starts around 2pm, when me and the kids are home from work, school and kindergarten. This could be a trip in the surrounding area (e.g. playground, forest, geocaching, visiting friends), a lazy afternoon in the garden or on the couch playing Mario Kart or taking care of some tasks in house and garden.
Our family has a wide range of interests and skills like 3D printing, playing instruments, sewing and doing other handicrafts, woodwork and learning languages.
We‘d love to get some insight in other people‘s lifestyles, thoughts and beliefs as well as to learn from them in a practical way.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We don’t expect a lot of help as our home and garden are doing fine as it is. However with some extra hands we could start some nice projects that we wouldn’t do on our own. For example I have forever wanted to build a herb spiral! Also our vegetable cultivation could get to another level with someone passionate about it.
If you are interested in bees and producing honey you are welcome to assist in that. The same applies to the caring for the chickens.Languages
