Description
We are a welcoming family of 1 parent, 2 children, 1 dog & some small fish who are living on Kaurna Country about 3kms from Brighton Beach, 3 kms from Flinders University & 12kms from the centre of Tarndanya - the city of Adelaide!
Public transport hub is a 5 minute walk.
I am Suzanne and I work full time in & on a Web3 business from home - helping children design the education journey they want to have so they can get to become who they were born to be.
Jaxon is 11 and Saffron is 10 and they both attend school Monday - Friday & it is less than a 10minute drive away.
Public Transport (bus & train) & a major shopping centre is a 5 minute walk away. There are bike paths that take you to many destinations including Ityamaiitpinna Yarta - Glenthorne National Park. We do have bikes that you can share, if the children or I are not using them.
We have been sharing our living spaces since 2017, throughout Adelaide, to visiting artists for Fringe, friends from within the community needing a safe & comfortable space before they return home, either within Australia or somewhere else in the world.
Are you:
- Friendly, safe and enjoy being around children and pets?
- Reliable and can work independently?
- Respectful of our home and family routines?
- Previous experience with children and/or gardening, general house maintenance , painting?
Please read the Workaway Guidelines because you are working with children and a police check from your country and a reference would be gratefully welcomed.Types of help and learning opportunities

By staying with us, you’ll have the chance to experience family life, explore the beautiful surroundings of many local beaches of Adelaide, and learn about the Kaurna (First Nations) culture. We are excited to share our way of life with you and to learn about your experiences and background as well. I have many connections throughout South Australia in many different sectors, so if you enjoy exploring & being curious, we can show you where to go & who to meet!

We welcome responsible and friendly humans to join our family and assist with various tasks around the home for this conscience & solo parent.
We are flexible with how these hours are distributed and will work with you to find a schedule that suits our family & you.
We need help with general cleaning, laundry, and general tidying and cooking. We would love to share our evening meal time with you, to share stories of our adventures?
Can you assist with maintaining our front and rear gardens?
Do you speak English, and want to learn more - The children welcome to practice with you. The children are currently learning Japanese at school, but love to learn new languages too.
Are you computer & game savvy? Any assistance that aligns with safe & fun experiences is welcome by all of us.
Do you play the piano, guitar or sing?
Jaxon and Saffron would love some extra opportunities to practice before & after school.
Dino (our adopted greyhound) loves walking as much as he loves sleeping so if you love dogs Dino would love having someone else walk him and feed him too!
If you have a meditation &/or yoga practice - awesome as I am up early everyday as a part of my routine!
