    The Foundation is a non-profit organization and a leader in conservation in Costa Rica. We work with people to protect our natural resources. Our conservation programs are based in the South and Central Pacific region of Costa Rica. We are part of a great network trying to make this world a better place for all of us and the rest of the creatures that live with us.

    The Playa Hermosa-Punta Mala National Wildlife Refuge has 6 kilometers of beach and is located in the Central Pacific of Costa Rica, south of Jaco and north of Manuel Antonio Beach. The camp is located in Punta Mala facing the sea, with mixed rooms with shared bathrooms. The camp has several common areas, and relaxation and at the same time some of the best views of a surf beach. There is electricity in the area and mobile phone reception.

    Travelers will meet people from all ages, nationalities, and all walks of life. You will also be engaged in lots of Sea Turtle activities or as many as you want.

    Help

    The Foundation is seeking a research assistant for the Sea Turtle Conservation project at the Punta Mala-Playa Hermosa Wildlife Refuge with strong motivation and attention to detail. The candidate should possess solid experience in team volunteer work, as well as exceptional organizational skills.

    The main objective of this position is to assist the coordinator in program activities, mainly in being the company and the person who resolves all queries and situations with the participating volunteers

    Responsibilities:
    1-Organize recreational activities with volunteers in their free time.
    2- Help volunteers with their daily needs, queries, situations in activities, etc.
    3-Be in charge of leading activities when the coordinator is not on site
    4-Communicate with team members to ensure project objectives are met.
    5-Provide support to the coordinator as needed.
    6-Tabulate and transcribe data for relevant progress reports.

    Requirements:
    Female person (as we already have a man as a coordinator)
    Speak Spanish and English fluently (important)
    Experience in working in turtle programs or similar
    Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    Competent in efficiently prioritizing tasks and time management.
