Description
We (brother and sister) run several small activities on our 12 hectare family property, such as holiday home rental, carpentry / joinery and soon a small farm bakery. We live on the farm with 10 dogs (all welfare animals), 2 horses, 2 mules and 2 pigs. The Monte / Hof is only 800m away from the Malhao beach in the middle of the nature park of the Costa Vicentina. On the beach is the possibility to visit the surf school, but the villages of Vila Nova de Milfontes and Porto Covo also have a lot to offer. So if you like to be in nature, on the beach and in the company of animals, you've come to the right place.
Wir ( Bruder und Schwester) betreiben auf unserem 12 Hektar großen Familiengründstück mehrere kleine Aktivitäten, wie Ferienhausvermietung, Schreinerei/Tischlerei und demnächst auch eine kleine Hofbäckerei. Wir leben auf dem Hof mit 10 Hunden (alle Tierschutztiere), 2 Pferden, 2 Mulis und 2 Schweinen. Das Monte/Hof liegt nur 800m Fussweg vom Strand Malhao entfernt inmitten des Natur Parks der Costa Vicentina. Am Strand gibt es die Möglichkeit die Surfschule zu besuchen, aber auch die Dörfer Vila Nova de Milfontes und Porto Covo haben einiges zu bieten. Wer also gerne in der Natur ist, gerne am Strand und in Gesellschaft von Tieren ist bei uns richtig. Es fallen ausschließlich Arbeiten an die zu unserem Alltag gehören, also keine Arbeiten die mit unserem Buisness zu tun haben.

The area offers beautiful hiking trails along the coast, in the villages of Vila Nova de Milfontes and Porto Covo (approx. 8km away) there are nice cafes and restaurants and in summer there is always a lot going on.
You can certainly learn a lot in terms of craftsmanship with us (through the carpentry and metal workshop), also dealing with and living together with animals is very important to us and you can certainly expand your experience here. We do not offer riding and working with horses and mules, but you are welcome to join the walks with the dogs or watch us work with the horses and mules. The work you will do on our farm has only to do with our private life and not with our buisness.
Die Umgebung bietet wunderschöne Wanderwege an der Küste entlang, in den Dörfern Vila Nova de Milfontes und Porto Covo ( ca. 8km entfernt) gibt es nette Cafés und Restaurants und im Sommer ist dort immer viel los.
Handwerklich kann man bei uns sicher einiges lernen ( durch die Schreinerei und Metalwerkstatt) auch der Umgang und das Zusammenleben mit den Tieren ist uns sehr wichtig und sicher kann man hier seine Erfahrungen erweitern. Reiten und die Arbeit mit den Pferden und Mulis bieten wir nicht an, aber gerne kann man sich den Spaziergängen mit den Hunden anschliessen oder bei der Arbeit mit den Pferden und Mulis zuschauen.

There is always a lot of work to do on the farm and we need support. Above all, we need help in the garden, watering trees and plants in the yard, cleaning the stables for horses and mules, support with the construction work (always accompanied and under supervision) and with the maintenance of the property.
The work you will do on our farm has only to do with our private life and not with our buisness.
Auf dem Hof fällt immer viel Arbeit an und dabei benötigen wir Unterstützung. Wir brauchen vor allem Hilfe im Garten ( Unkraut zupfen, anpflanzen, instandhalten), dem Bewässern von Bäumen und Pflanzen auf dem Hof, beim säubern der Ställe der Pferde und Mulis,Unterstützung bei den Bauarbeiten (immer in Begleitung und unter Anleitung) und bei der Instandhaltung des Grundstückes ( entfernen von Ästen und Bäumen, Pflanzungen vornehmen, etc). Es fallen ausschließlich Arbeiten an die zu unserem Alltag gehören, also keine Arbeiten die mit unserem Buisness zu tun haben.

Ich habe eine kleine Basis in Französisch würde dies aber gerne Ausbauen. I have a small base in French but I would like to expand it.
Accommodation
You would live in a 15m² wooden hut. In the hut you have a small kitchenette with an induction hob, fridge and kettle. A bed, armchairs, chairs and table, as well as an oven for the colder days. The bathroom is about 60m from the hut, there is also a sink.
You would have a budget for food and you would either have lunch or dinner with us. Purchases can be made together. We eat vegetarian, but not vegan. Meat eaters are welcome anyway. The working hours for food and lodging would be between 4-5 hours a day, 6 times a week. Working time is done as a whole and not divided up, it can be done in the morning or in the afternoon, depending on prior agreement and necessity.
Wohnen würdest du in einer 15m² großen Holzhütte. In der Hütte hast du eine kleine Kochecke mit Induktionsherdplatte, Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher. Ein Bett, Sessel, Stühle und Tisch, sowie einen Offen für die kälteren Tage. Das Badezimmer liegt etwa 60m von der Hütte entfernt, dort gibt es auch eine Spüle.
Dir würde ein Budget für Essen zur Verfügung stehen und du würdest entweder das Mittagessen oder das Abendessen mit uns zusammen einnehmen. Einkäufe können gemeinsam gemacht werden. Wir essen vegetarisch, aber nicht vegan. Fleischesser sind trotzdem willkommen. Die Arbeitszeit für Kost-und Logy wäre zwischen 4-5 Stunden täglich 6 x die Woche. Arbeitszeit wird im ganzen vollbracht und nicht gestückelt, kann Vormittags oder Nachmittags gemacht werden, je nach vorheriger Absprache und Notwendigkeit.
What else ...
Der Wanderweg Rota Vicentina geht quasi dirket an unserem Grundstück vorbei. Die Umgebung lädt zum Wandern und entspannen ein. Wer sich aktiv in seiner Freizeit beschäftigen möchte kann dies mit einigen Wassersportarten entweder direkt unten am Strand (800m entfernt) tun oder in Vila Nova de Milfontes.
The Rota Vicentina hiking trail goes almost directly past our property. The area is ideal for hiking and relaxing. Those who want to be active in their free time can do this with some water sports either directly down on the beach (800m away) or in Vila Nova de Milfontes.

In der Unterkunft ist ausreichend Platz um auch an einem Tisch zu arbeiten. Internet könnte man sich durch eine Mobilekarte besorgen, unser Internetanschluss wäre doch zu schwach. There is enough space in the accommodation to work at a table. Internet could be obtained through a mobile card, our Internet connection would be too weak.

Der Stellplatz hat Anschluss an Strom und ist auch schattig, Nutzung des WC fussläufig. The parking space has access to electricity and is also shady, use of the toilet is within walking distance.
