Description
My name is Lucrecia i'm 64 years old, I like trekking, bird watching, painting and I love dogs, I have 2 daughters, Daniela and Juliana (they live far away in Guanacaste) and 1 son, Alonso. My son is the only one who lives here with me and helps me with the hotel and the farm. He lives at the hotel and he is in charge of the farm and also helps me with reservations and the hotel reception. I'm the hotel manager, but im in charge of everything, staff, payments, banks, do errands. We have been having a hard time after the pandemic, we need to get more clients. We have lots of projects for the farm and the hotel. We have some remodeling projects at the hotel. Also for the farm we want to start with organic agriculture and a cheese factory with the milk we get from the cows. The farm is pretty big, but we have no experience, my husband used to be in charge of it, unfortunately he past away not long ago :( and we have been running it since then, a little help will be so much appreciated. If you have some experience if hotels or farms you will be more than welcome! We hope we can learn from you as much as you can learn from us.

• Because of the pandemic and the new law in Costa Rica you need to have the Covid 19 vaccine (it's a must)
• Basic Spanish is required, I don't have a good english or any of my staff, I do need someone I can communicate with.

I think Turrialtico is a great place to get away, we are on a top a hill, toucans and humming birds will be nocking on your window every morning, great views will be part of your routine. We have a great crew and you will definitely learn about costarican culture. You will definitely learn spanish (we have bad english LOL) also Turrialba is a cute little town located 1.5 hours from San José in case you need to go to the city or 3 hours from the Caribbean in case you want to go the beach.

Hello, My name is Lucrecia and I have a small hotel in a town called Turrialba in Cartago, Costa Rica. I would love to have the work and travel experience with people from the world. I have lots of work! We need help in all the areas. Marketing, gardening, social media. We need english speakers but you also need to know a little Spanish, we have customers from Costa rica and from the US, also my english is not very good so I will talk to you in Spanish. You also need to have good communication skills. Good hygiene is a must, shower every day and a fresh presentation at our hotel is very important. We also have dogs and cats at the hotel so pet lovers are more than welcome (almost a must). We have WiFi, a great Costarican restaurant and a nice room for our helpers! if you need a get away to the rain forest this is your place.
We also have a small farm with milk cows and we produce our own cheese. With lots of fruit trees, casava, sugar cain and coffee. If you are interested in something more outdoors, with animals and physical work we will be happy to host you.

Accommodation
We will provide a small hotel room with private bath room, hot water, wifi and double bed. Also 3 meals a day (breakfast 7-9 am - Lunch 12-2 pm - Dinner 6-8 pm) and lots of coffee of course. You can even sleep with one of our dogs if you want too :) You are also aloud to use our kitchen in case you want to cook something for your self.
Smoking is OK after working hours and outside of the building. Smoking is not alud in the rooms or in the building. Also we are not fans of heavy drinking, some wine or a couple of beers is ok. Not heavy party in the accommodations.

What else ...
You will have a schedule for work, 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Feel free to do what ever with your time off, you can visit the town of Turrialba or just hang out at the lodge. You can also accumulate your days off in case you want to travel around Costa Rica.
Buses go to town every hour (we are 8km from Turrialba) just let us know you are going out so we know you are not there in case we need to leave the gate open for you at night. You can have visits as long as they pay for what they eat or is they stay they will need to pay for the room, but we are cool with that too.
