Description
Are you passionate about nature and want to be involved in sustainable project on a beautiful island?
Established in 2013, our project has planted over 11 million trees around the world. Our approach is unique – by involving local communities we hope to make an environmental and social impact where it really matters.
Our Omepete project is located on a 4 hectar property and is home to our first tree nursery with the purpose of growing 10,000 trees and gifting them to local communities and families.
We have planting and computer based tasks available for volunteers waiting to be part of an eco conscious community.Types of help and learning opportunities

Ometepe is a truly special island composed of two volcanoes in southwest Nicaragua’s vast Lake Cocibolca.
Over the northern half of Ometepe looms the Concepción, a majestic and perfectly cone-shaped active volcano, while the southern half is dominated by the extinct volcano Maderas which is swathed in a cloud forest and has a mist-shrouded lagoon in its crater.
The volcanic ash makes the soil extremely fertile and the land yields abundant crops and is home to stunning wildlife. Whether it’s kayaking on the lake, hiking the up the volcanoes, experiencing native ceremonies, yoga or sipping a cocktail watching the sunset, there’s always something to take your breath away when you're not working, and no two days are the same.A little more information
