We, two people (59) / (55), a dog, Gustavo emigrated from "normal" life, walking across France along the Way of St. James. Having arrived in Portugal, we have been creating our small permaculture paradise on 3 hectares in the Alto Alentejo since January 2020. We live very simply, take a shower under the olive tree, wash our laundry by hand and sleep outside in the summer. We are currently building an outdoor kitchen, watering and maintaining our vegetables in the garden. We can already harvest the first vegetables. We want to preserve the excess harvest. There is a lot to do and we look forward to the new experiences, to experience our experiences, the work, together with you.

The plains that disappear from sight start at the Tejo. And while further north the rhythm of life is shaped by the green of the vegetable region, the landscape further south combines with sun, heat and a slower rhythm.
