  Description

  We are a French Brazilian family, building a center for relaxation, self-development, meditation, yoga, detox, Qi Gong.... and all kind of holistic methods on an island in Brazil, four hours away from Sao Paulo. We are creating a space to host spiritual retreats in the middle of the wild forest and mangrove that you can reach only in crossing the river with our own boat or canoes. We are also opening a little Montessori school in the small city next to our center. We have been long time travelers and went all around the world, now we decided to create roots and to bring all what we learnt and received through all our travels into one place. To create a place for an alternative international community to explore new ways of living, new ways of thinking and opening our mind to others realms of consciousness.
  We are surrounded by the river where lives wild sweet water dolphins that you could meet almost everyday on kayak and phosphorescent plankton during the new moon night that shines like stars in the water.
  We also have many animals with us: dog, cats, chickens, rabbits, birds, peacocks.... and would like to bring more of them here to create a true magical atmosphere.
  We already build few alternative buildings: 3 yurts, 2 domes and collective dry toilets

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We will be happy to share with you upon our daily spiritual practice of yoga, meditation, and devotional singing. And you can participate to the retreats that will be running here.
  You will meet with different workers and Brazilian people here helping us to keep this place who have all a lot of very gifted qualities in different areas: alternative pedagogy, eco-building, holistic healings, yoga, massages.... we have people from all over the world coming to stay at our place. We speak many languages: Portuguese, French, English.
  You will be in contact with wild Brazilian nature in a very unique way and if you like with many different animals.
  We are very closed to the Ocean: only 3 km away, but by the road it is 20 km.

  Help

  According to the time of the year that you are coming, we need different kind of help.
  A support in cooking and maintaining the common space in order for the whole team is always welcome
  Help in babysitting and taking our 7 years old boy to the alternative school
  Activities of arts, languages, or sport for children in our social alternative school
  Our garden is huge with many palm trees, flowers and medicinal herbs and we would like to plant more flowers, fruits trees and extend our vegetable garden a small permaculture farm to be able to feed our whole community.
  As we are building we always need some help in the building area
  If you like to paint we have few walls and rooms that needs to be painted
  We are creating few eco projects that needs support, like reconditioning of the used water, recuperation of the rain water, eco-buildings.... If you have any knowledges upon this it would be very welcome
  general maintenance of the house is always welcome as it is a big place
  We serve 3 vegetarian meals per day.

  Accommodation

  We have 2 private rooms, but according to the numbers of people present in the center, they might be busy. Otherwise we have three dormitory that according to the people here could be separating either in feminine, masculine and family dormitories. Two of these dormitories are yurts and one is a big room in the main house

  What else ...

  There is a public bus passing few time a day in front our little path on the other side of the river to take you to the city or to the beach in half an hour.
  They are beautiful touristic islands that can be reach through private boat and touristic tour in the little town close to our center.
  You can go and visit the different island here; Ilha do cardoso, ilha comprida, ilha do mel and enjoy the beach
  the school teachers are musicians and part of the capoiera club of Cananeia, so you will be welcome to learn some capoiera and do some local music study
  we can borrow one of our canoe to go and explore the river around the island

  we have a big space on the other side of the river to park the cars and vans. You need to go through 800 meters of earth road to arrive there so if you have a very small car you need to go slowly and carefully because with the rain the road can be bumpy...
