Description
We are a cohousing composed by 6 families, placed on the hills of Turin, in the north-west of Italy. We are 10 minutes by car from the city center, but fully surrounded by the woods.
The six families living here are composed by adults and children from the age of 1 to 13, dogs, cats and bees!
We have woods and gardens around the house that we use both for recreation and for the supply of wood for our heating system. We need help to better manage these green areas and, above all, we need help with our heating system especially, of course, during cold months.
More in general, we would like to bring our place to the maximum of its potential.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We believe in the power of small comunities.
We try to help each other for what we can provide. All the people living here have different skills and points of view to share. We have architects, artists, teachers, professors, photografers and social workers living here. A great variety of human been to confront with.
Most of the works we require will be performed with some of us. We will teach and learn from each other.
Talking about culture…
We live in an Ancient Roman city full of museus, historical buildings and beautiful surroundings to enjoy in the spare time. Piemonte has some of the most astonishing mountains of Alps, and beautiful lakes, not to mention the wine filds of Langhe and Roero.Projects involving children

Help
We aren’t searching for any particular skill, except for the will to help and be part of the team. We would like to host someone who has the desire and predisposition to work in the green and to do manual labor jobs. The works we plan to do in the wood and in the gardens aren’t too technical, but surely they will require a lot of energy. For example during winter we will need to move and store logs to clean the woods and to fill our big heater. In spring time we will mostly need help in the maintenance and clean of the gardens, park and vegetable garden, or to build a fence.
We also have an old water well we would like to renew to water the vegetable garden in order to use local resources and be as much eco-friendly as possible.Languages

We also have a common laundry with a washing machine and a dryer.
We will provide to the shopping for food and let the workers free to cook their own meals, but we will also be pleased to host them in our houses for dinner or lunch every time it would be possible.
We will also arrange several moments to share the meals together expecially during weekends. What else ...
In their time off helpers can chill in our outside areas or walk on the hills all arround.
With a 10 minutes drive or taking a bus from the near bus stop they can get to the city center rich of cultural spots of interest.
During their days off they can easily reach the mountains or a lake by train or even the sea side with a three hours trip.A little more information
