  • Description

    Description

For more than ten years, this old rural home has been lovingly restored and cared for with dedication and heart, gradually becoming a peaceful sanctuary for us rooted in simplicity, mindfulness, and harmony with nature.
Our daily life is centered around vegan living, gardening, meditation, tea ceremonies, meaningful conversations, and a deep connection with the natural world.
Living here also means becoming part of the ongoing care of the home, the land, and our animals. We share everyday responsibilities together, and we truly appreciate people who are willing to contribute with care, responsibility, and a positive attitude.
What matters most to us is not experience or special skills, but sincerity, maturity, mindfulness, mutual respect, and a genuine willingness to participate in daily life.
This place is ideal for those who wish to learn, share, contribute, and experience a slower, more conscious way of living.
To preserve the peaceful atmosphere and allow for a more personal and meaningful exchange, we usually welcome only one volunteer at a time. This creates the opportunity for deeper connections, individual attention, and a more enriching experience for everyone.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Travellers will experience everyday life in a peaceful Korean rural village while sharing life with an international couple in a simple, mindful, and nature-centered way.
You can learn about vegan living, organic gardening, Korean tea culture, meditation, mindfulness, and sustainable daily living. We also enjoy meaningful conversations about life, different cultures, personal growth, and our relationship with nature.
This is not a formal course or retreat, but an opportunity to experience a slower, more conscious way of living through everyday life, shared meals, working together, and genuine human connection.During your stay, we may occasionally share an outing together whether into nature, a cultural or spiritual place, a local event, or wherever the natural flow of the moment leads.

🌟We believe that the greatest cultural exchange happens naturally through openness, mutual respect, curiosity, and sharing our daily lives together.🌟

  • Help

    Help

The help we ask for varies depending on the season and what is needed around the home.

    Typical tasks include:

    - Watering the garden, weeding, planting vegetables, and helping care for our vegetable beds and flowers.
    - General house cleaning and keeping shared spaces tidy.
    - Feeding our dogs, giving them fresh water, cleaning up after them, and spending time playing and interacting with them.
    - If you enjoy cooking and have experience preparing vegan meals, we would be happy to share the cooking responsibilities with you.
Most tasks are simple and do not require special skills. What we appreciate most is a positive attitude, care, responsibility, and a willingness to participate in daily life together.🐕☀️

    About This Place ☀️

We found this old countryside home at one of the most difficult times in our lives. We were physically and emotionally exhausted and very sick, and much of our faith and hope in ourselves and in the world had been lost.
The house was abandoned, worn down, and nearly forgotten. Yet, beneath its broken appearance, we felt something quietly alive.

Over many years, with our own hands, patience, and love, we slowly restored it into a peaceful place of healing. Every repaired wall, every tree, every flower, and every garden path reflects our journey of healing and renewal.

More than a home, this place became our teacher. Like a loving mother, it embraced us with warmth, helped us grow stronger, and awakened a deeper understanding of ourselves, nature, and life.

Today, we are grateful to share this sanctuary with people who appreciate simplicity, kindness, and a genuine connection with all living beings.

⭐️Please note that reaching our home requires a little planning, as we are located in a quiet rural area.
From Andong Bus Terminal or Andong Train Station, a local bus comes to our village approximately every two hours.
If you arrive in Andong before 4:00 pm, we are usually happy to pick you up from the nearest bus stop whenever possible.⭐️
