IMPORTANT: We are in a hill close to Rishikesh until DECEMBER 2019 !
WE ARE NOT IN AUROVILLE UNTIL END OF THIS YEAR.
This is on a hilltop surrounded by 4 hills and 7 villages in the area. The farm has a family of 5 (including 3 kids) who stay and need the assistance for organic farming. This is a 100% organic farm. Absolutely no chemicals anywhere. It is also litter free since its pristine nature. We are the only place in our hill so you can walk around in absolute wilderness (unless its dark - when we restrict).
We are a group of volunteers who help this super large farm that has a great opportunity for organic farming of fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs. We have a beautiful house where we all stay and cook together and teach other wonderful things via workshops. There is ample opportunity to learn how to respect the earth, the body and the soul. We are seeking like minded individuals who can offer substantial amount of time for this project and help us create a space where individuals can live sustainably and in harmony with nature, community and the energy around you, for whatever duration they seek. This is a strictly gift-economy driven place and there is no scope for use of money anywhere within this house. However if you offer workshops or receive workshops, contributions to the teacher in any form is acceptable.

Travelers can learn how to live a life free from chemicals and with love and harmony among volunteers from over 35 countries. We also conduct workshops with local skills and the opportunities to learn are endless.
We want farm hands, people who can help us teach english to the village people, help in waste management, conduct social enterprise projects for the marginalized people here in the neighborhood. We also need people who are good in art, yoga, meditation and healing practices, which we exchange and learn amongst ourselves. We have a super large flat piece of land on the hill that we aspire to build into a free yoga teaching center.
This farm land is owned by a village family that has 3 kids (10,12,14) and two goats. The kids love to interact with our international tourists and learn their culture. This is India 101 for you, in every aspect. The stay (eco friendly huts), food cooked in wood fired stoves, indian toilet, bucket shower, mountain side living with absolutely no noise from vehicles.
English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Hindi
We have 3 eco friendly cob structure built cottages (built lovingly by a group of French volunteers), a big garden with tents, and also some space in the farm where you could pitch your own tents. Everyone gets a clean sheet, mattress, pillows and some personal items like natural soaps and a personal clean water bottle.
Being spiritual at core, we have guidelines on living that imbibe this. The power of impersonal relations supports community living and inward focus. It is the vision to respect the spiritual search of self-focus with inclusive relationships rather than other-focus of exclusive relationships. For this purpose it is encouraged that couples find their individual space within the community and sleep separately if possible.
We live together like a family so there are some rules but there is ample opportunity and time to wander around and merge with the community around and visit villages nearby. There are 7 villages in the 4 hills around us. You can walk up to them and learn about each of the unique village (each of them has about 20-25 houses/families).
IMPORTANT: There is no continuous internet at the farm and therefore we are always slow in responding back. We are always open for more volunteers. Please come over at any time even without notification. We will find a way to accommodate you.

Take a bus towards Rudraprayag. This goes via Devprayag. Get down at Kirti Nagar (which is before a small town called Srinagar). At Kirti Nagar, you will find shared cabs for Dhar Kot, my village.
At Kirti Nagar, before the bridge on the left, you will find these cabs/taxis that go to the village every hour. Be sure you reach Kirti Nagar before 5 pm. There is no transport after dark.
The drive is about 1 hour in the cab/taxi.
Once you are at the village ask for Chandan, the farm caretaker. There are 5 families in the village and all of them would be able to guide you. It is a 15 minutes trek uphill from Dhar Kot village.
