    Description

It was a thriving community for 12 years, widely recognized across the region and in Brazil for its dynamic volunteer programs that drew people from near and far. After a three-year hiatus, we are excited to be starting fresh, bringing this beloved project back to life.

Our current focus is on restoring and enhancing our housing and shared spaces, and we are looking for skilled volunteers with experience in sustainable building, bio-construction, and renovation. Although our long-term vision includes reactivating our permaculture gardens and potentially chocolate production from our cacao orchards, for now, our priority is building solid, sustainable structures to support these future plans.

But beyond that, we also welcome those who can bring creative skills to share! Whether your talents lie in handcrafts, music, dance, painting, sculpture, or even storytelling and theater, you can help shape both the atmosphere and the community here. Art and culture have always been central to this place, and we’re excited to welcome those inspired to add their creativity to our project’s rebirth.

Accessible by boat from the vibrant surf town of Itacaré, Bahia, the heart of Brazilian Afro-culture, the community offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project in a breathtaking natural setting. If you’re passionate about sustainable living and ready to join us in this inspiring phase of renewal, we welcome you to be part of this journey!

    **************************************************

  • What else ...

    What else ...

As a volunteer, you’ll receive accommodation, meals, internet, and transportation to/from town (a pick-up point under the bridge over Rio das Contas), all by boat. In exchange, you’ll contribute five hours a day to project work and help keep the shared living and kitchen areas tidy.

*IMPORTANT:* Organizing transport to and from our remote rainforest location and providing housing here requires a lot of resources. Please book your arrival only if you’re 100% sure you can make it, as last-minute cancellations cost us valuable time and resources and prevent others from joining.

    **************************************************
