She invited me to two vortexes and gave me deep insights into the themes of life. Her cooking was also the most healthy and delicious food that had a wonderful effect on the body. I will never forget the special cocoa and smoothie every morning. And the morning meditation and yoga time was also great. A start to the morning feeling of oneness. I am happy to have had the opportunity to meet the great Queen of Sedona. So far the best workaway's experience I've ever had and I definitely recommend her as a host. We did multiple hikes, swam in creeks, and visited nearby places as her schedule allowed. And tasks were related to my skills which made me enjoy the experience more than other projects.

I was lucky enough to stay with Sitara and her family for my first workaway. From the very first day, I felt so welcomed and at home. Sitara is an incredible host, and an even more incredible woman. … read more week, I was able to participate in her morning yoga classes, and in the evenings she took the other workawayers and I on several hikes, and to beautiful creeks all around Sedona. Also, her cooking is wonderful, and when she wasn’t around, we were free to cook for ourselves and to snack around. I felt so at home here! Sitara really puts in so much effort into being a wonderful host, and it shows.
As for the work, Sitara is in the process of developing an absolutely incredible project that I am so grateful to have been a part of! The work we did definitely required physical strength, but it is for sure work for anyone. There is much to be done, from remodeling inside the house, to clean up and organization outside of the house. You will definitely find your place to help out. Being here, we found a great balance of work and play. We worked about 5 hours every other day, and on the off days we really got to choose how to spend our time. We even got around to hiking the Grand Canyon!
All in all, my time here has been absolutely wonderful. I’ve learned so much in one week, and I feel so happy to have been able to contribute to such a wonderful project. Her home sits just next to a mountain with lovely hikes you can take on your own in the evening, and it is just beautiful. The work revolves around building a retreat center and helping to maintain her BNB properties. Sitara is a great cook. The food is plentiful and wonderful, and the house and sleeping area is comfortable. There are many places in the lovely yard to get alone and do some work if needed as well. The works were not so difficult but sometimes needed physical strength. Working times were flexible morning/daytime. I helped to clean up the hot tub, living room and the garden, and so on. I did them with Sitara, her daughter Zoe or by myself (depends on the works).
As she borrowed her E-bike, I could go anywhere like trails, shopping, visit restaurants after working. I really enjoyed Sedona life very much like a local people. I did everything what I wanted to do there because of her kindness.
I succeeded in my first Workaway!!

I was able to use an E-bike to get to the locations I needed to experience all the beauty of this place.
My working hours were flexible in terms of mornings/day time or evenings. I did some garden work and painting the walls.
Sitara was always there to offer her help if needed and suggest the places to go during my free time.
