    Description

Hi! I’m a woman in my 30s living in Mount Pleasant, one of Vancouver’s best neighbourhoods for cafes, restaurants, bars, breweries, parks, and exploring the city. My apartment is within walking distance to lots of great spots and close to the seawall, transit, and the rest of central Vancouver.

I live in a cozy 580 sq. ft. studio apartment with high ceilings, a piano, an artsy loft-style feel, and a large outdoor patio space with a fire pit. It’s a comfortable and creative little home base for someone wanting to spend time in Vancouver.

I’m looking for responsible, kind, dog-loving people to stay in my place in exchange for caring for my dog, Batty. Batty is a 9-year-old husky with a big personality and an even bigger fluffy coat. She is very affectionate, loves people, enjoys attention, and is happiest with someone who will spend time with her, take her for walks, and give her lots of love.

She is generally good on leash and loves food, treats, belly rubs, and companionship. Because she can sometimes be selective around other dogs, I’m looking for someone comfortable walking a husky and keeping her on leash, avoiding dog parks, and being mindful around unfamiliar dogs.

This would be a great fit for someone who wants a comfortable place to stay in a vibrant Vancouver neighbourhood and genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs. Batty is sweet, funny, affectionate, and a wonderful companion once she knows you.

During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to experience everyday life in the city and enjoy a genuine cultural exchange. I’m happy to share local recommendations, favorite cafés, parks, neighborhoods, and insights into the area, helping you discover the city beyond the typical tourist attractions.

  • Help

    Help

The main help I’m looking for is dog sitting and caring for my dog, Batty, while staying in my apartment.

Batty would need to be fed daily and taken out for around three walks per day. She is affectionate and loves company, so I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs and is happy to give her attention, cuddles, and companionship.

Because Batty can sometimes be selective around other dogs, she should always be kept on leash and dog parks should be avoided. I’m looking for someone responsible, attentive, and comfortable walking a husky in the city.

    Profile photo of Batty

    Batty (8 years)

Batty is a 9-year-old husky with a sweet, affectionate personality. She can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly and loves belly rubs, treats, and spending time with people. She is good on leash, but can be selective/reactive around some dogs, so she should always stay on leash and avoid dog parks.
