Outdoor minded individuals are drawn to Squamish, as it offers so much to do. You can hike, bike, rock climb, kayak, kiteboard, paddle board, ski/snowboard, to name a few. Getting outside IS the culture. If this is something that interests you, you’d be very happy spending time here. I will do my best to facilitate that for you.

    Help

I am a single parent looking for someone to help with childcare. Pick up from preschool 3-4 days/week, which is walking/biking distance, plus doing dinner, bath time and bedtime on those nights and clean up any dinner mess. Would also require help to walk the dog. You would have your days (until 4:30pm) and most weekends free to pursue any outdoor activity or other work.

In exchange you’ll be provided with a room & board, excluding personal toiletries and food. You’ll be responsible for your own groceries. However, if you’re a good cook and feel comfortable in the kitchen, I’m willing to provide groceries to cook for everyone.

Our place is conveniently located close to shopping (15 walk), bus route, and highway and backs onto trails and onto a playground.

If you’re someone that is interested in spending a season in Whistler, this is a great in-between until you find housing.

I am looking for someone that is reliable, mature, friendly, patient and kind. I’m not looking to be your parent. I expect you to have some life skills and clean up after yourself. Otherwise, I’m pretty easy going.

Must have experience in dealing with childcare. Some first aid training is preferred.

My daughter is half Brazilian, so it would be a bonus if you spoke Portuguese or Spanish, but not necessary.

You will have your own furnished room (with closet) in a 3 bedroom home. Main living area, kitchen and Bathroom are shared. I will provide all linens.

There is extra storage if you have a bike or ski/snowboard gear.

    What else ...

Squamish is in an area called the “Sea-to-Sky” 1 hour drive to Vancouver, 45 minutes drive to Whistler. There is limited bus service from Vancouver to Squamish to Whistler, so most travel is done between these communities via private shuttle services and the pop-a-ride app.

However, there is a decent public transit service within Squamish and everything is totally accessible by bicycle.
