Description
We are a vibrant and busy family of five, living near the rainforest town of Kuranda in the Cairns Hinterland. I am a self-employed artist and designer working from home, and we also run a non-profit organization focused on community development and wellness. We're currently in the exciting stages of establishing a wellness retreat, creating a hub in Kuranda, as well as organizing various community events and festivals.
We are well-travelled entrepreneurs and creatives who speak French, Spanish, Turkish, and English fluently. Our three children, all under the age of 6, are friendly and curious, and they love meeting new people and learning new things. Despite the bustling household, we highly value an organized, clean, and efficient environment.
Your Role
The current Workaway position involves daily household support. This includes:
Tidying
Laundry
Vacuuming
Mopping
Basic cleaning tasks
Assisting with the children
You won't be expected to babysit alone; your role is to provide an extra pair of hands. Whether it's holding the baby or playing a game with the kids while I attend a meeting or run an essential errand, I'll always be around to assist.
The work is for five hours daily, five days a week. If you enjoy cooking, we can discuss that possibility, but it's not essential.
Additional Opportunities
Outside of household duties, there is a possibility of paid work within our business. Tasks may include:

Accommodation

What else ...
You will need to have your own vehicle, so you can come and go as you wish. There are plenty of beautiful nearby places to explore: the hippie rainforest village of Kuranda, the luscious waterfalls of Davies Creek and plenty of creek hang spots we can recommend. There is a yoga studio in Kuranda, as well as Aerial silks, poi and hula classes in Koah. You can drive out to the Tablelands on your days off, or up to Port Douglas and the Daintree.
