Description
Hi! We are a family of four living near Kuranda, Far North Queensland. My husband and I are jewellery designers and small business owners, working from home. Our children are aged 2.5 years and 4 years. We live ten minutes drive from Kuranda, in the next township over, in a peaceful, artistic home. We value high quality homecooked food, and mainly use local organic ingredients. We are on rainwater tanks (not town water), so the water is clean and pure. Our eldest son attends the local Steiner school. Between my husband and I, we speak French, Turkish and Spanish. If you speak any of these languages, you will have an advantage, so we can encourage language learning at home.

Experience the healing power of an organic local diet, clean pure rainwater and living in proximity to nature. You can also see how daily life looks running a thriving jewellery business from home, with two children. We are also in the process of moving onto a block of land - so be part of our journey in establishing a new life off-grid as we make that transition. Our main areas of expertise: rare crystals, gemstones, jewellery, website development, social media, email marketing, clothing design, running profitable online business. We also speak French, Spanish and Turkish.
Help
I am a busy mum managing a lot of different artistic projects, so come evening time I am often exhausted. Ideally, the thing I need help with most is preparing family meals in the evenings. I am happy to source whatever ingredients you require, if you can prepare the evening meals 5 nights a week. I imagine you will spend one hour to cook for everyone (starting at 5.30), so we can eat around 6.30pm. I'm happy to give you some rough direction. Ideally this position is for someone who already enjoys cooking and values local, organic, healthy meals. You will also give a hand washing up after dinner. On top of this, I require assistance with daily cleaning and/or helping out with children for 2 hours (between 9am - 11am), in the morning after breakfast. So most of the day you will be free to head out and explore as you wish, or optionally learn some skills required to run a jewellery business - if that interests you.

You can contact them directly for more information.Accommodation
Comfortable, modern caravan - separate from the house. You can use the downstairs deck to chill and hang out in your spare time, as well as the spacious garden (we are on 5 acre). You can have your own bathroom downstairs and shower once a day in the upstairs bathroom.
What else ...
You will need to have your own vehicle, so you can come and go as you wish. There are plenty of beautiful nearby places to explore: the hippie rainforest village of Kuranda, the luscious waterfalls of Davies Creek and plenty of creek hang spots we can recommend. There is a yoga studio in Kuranda, as well as Aerial silks, poi and hula classes in Koah. You can drive out to the Tablelands on your days off, or up to Port Douglas and the Daintree.
