  Description

  I am Olcay, the director of an English Academy. We are a center founded in 2020 to teach English and create cultural exchange between foreign teachers and Turkish university students/adults. There is also the opportunity to learn Turkish as a result of this exchange. We are located in a quiet neighborhood of Sisli, Istanbul, a metro ride away from the city’s world-famous cultural attractions. We are an organization majorly based on Speaking Skills for every type of English levels (from the Beginner level to the Advanced level). The organization contains foreign aiding-teachers as well as permanent Turkish teachers for speaking activities including different types of discussions, games and role-plays. We would like to see new faces having diverse cultural background at our school.

  What you can benefit from this club is not merely restricted to learn about the Turkish culture, but also you can learn about the other cultures, since there will be another foreign aiding-teachers like you. The students are native Turkish speakers who can share their culture with you while improving their English. Meanwhile, your coworkers will be English speakers from all around the world – we have had people join us from USA, Canada, England, Brazil, Poland, Serbia, Russia, and more! This is a great opportunity for both the students and the foreign teachers.

  Help

  We would like to have teachers who can participate to Speaking activities and help the students speak comfortably. Besides this, we are looking for foreign teachers who can contribute to our outdoor activities as well.
  
  Our current programs are as follows:
  
  - TEACHING:
  We are always looking for experienced English teachers to work one-on-one with our more advanced students. A TEFL certificate is a bonus, but not required. There is an opportunity here to teach both Business & General English, and get valuable experience on your resume.
  - SPEAKING CLUB: (Online and face to face)
  We are looking for advanced English speakers to act as conversation friends with our regular students. For this, you do not have to be an experienced teacher – just willing to be friendly and offer gentle corrections as needed. Speaking Club is (scheduled 5 days, 5 hours a day) from 6-11 pm at our main office in Istanbul or online.

  Accommodation

  It will be provided free of charge by our club. We are located in a quiet neighborhood very close to the metro and not as a residence hotel room. The house has a full bathroom and a kitchen for you to use outside of class hours. We generally provide tea, coffee, cake, cookies, sandwiches.
  ( Weekly shopping is done for those who are at the teacher's house. All food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, including pulses, fruit, vegetables, tea.)
  We are generally clean and tidy people, we ask you to keep the common areas stylish as we work from the same place. Otherwise, your only responsibility is to be a good friend and resource to our students and help create a positive environment at the centre.

  We sufficiently guide our foreign teachers for touristic trips. The residence is almost on the center of the city which means that the transportation is quite sufficient and available to travel around.
