    Description

    My goal is to cruise the Caribbean and eventually cross the Pacific. This year I'm going to stay between Panama and Colombia, but I plan to do this for several more years. I like to sail in a relaxed way as that's safer and allows me to enjoy every place. I'm currently in Cartagena finishing a refit of the boat before heading to Panama (San Blas and possibly Bocas del Toro)

    I'm looking for someone to help with a few remaining tasks before the boat will be ready to venture out into the big blue again. No previous experience is needed, but I'm looking for someone who is eager to learn how to sail and maintain a boat, not passengers looking for a vacation. Ideal crew must have some time to commit (at least 1 month) as this is my home and I hope to build a lasting relationship so that they can come back and sail with me in other parts of the world.

    I have spent most of my savings to buy a boat and fulfill my dream, and have also worked very hard repairing and maintaining the boat in the past two years. Now the boat is in very good shape so I don't need much help other than with the daily chores and regular maintenance tasks, therefore I think it's only fair that all aboard split at least the food costs - - port fees, boat parts and many other things are covered by me.

    === A bit about myself ===

    My name is Gui and I'm originally from Brazil but have lived abroad since 2012. I've worked as a software engineer and regularly took year-long sabbaticals to focus on new challenges. In late 2021 I moved into my sailboat (in Guatemala, then) with the goal of becoming a competent sailing skipper. Since then I've sailed over 3000 nautical miles (via Belize, Honduras, Cuba, Jamaica and Panama) and have improved/repaired pretty much everything on the boat, all while enjoying what the ocean has to offer.
