We an a Irish family, (2 same sex guys with our 10-year old son and our 2 dogs). We’ve relocated to the Dordogne Valley (dept LOT 46) and during the late spring and summer we run a small B&B with a terraced restaurant and luck that we have the the river Dordogne which is just at the end of the garden, in this very popular and tourist region of France. We are gluten free (most of the time) and can cater for most dietary requirements. This is a great opportunity to experience village life influenced by visitors and a community that's open to sharing and welcoming. In light of COVID we are closed, so those who only meet the criteria will be considered. We are mainly wanting a CHEF now and only when we know what the French authorities allow in light of the ongoing social distancing. We will ONLY be hosting 1 person, if a couple we will nOT be able to support due to COVID
Our needs are ideally to people with the following skill sets:
1: For summer 2020 (subject to restrictions in place with COVID - A trained chef for supporting the business in the summer months, and formally paid in line with French law and minimum wage for June - Sept - ideally have some french (not essential but beneficial for you and our guests) This is for one person only.
2: Potentially an oppoertunity (subject to COVID restrictions in place by the French government) is for some help with our 10-year old son usually in evenings during the summer months (mainly July & August) while he is on summer holidays (he also does summer camp so this would be some evenings and some day time help) when we are running our business in the restaurant and potentially some general work in the house and garden.
Our 'perfect match' would be to find a couple who can do the following, but we will consider individuals with the appropriates skills; please note we will not be able to host families or those with animals:
