We an a Irish family, (2 same sex guys with our 9-year old son and our 2 dogs). We’ve recently relocated to the Dordogne and during the late spring and summer we run a small B&B with the the river Dordogne which is just at the end of the garden, in this very popular and tourist region of France. We are gluten free (most of the time) and can cater for most dietary requirements.
Our need are:
1: is for some help with our 9-year old son usually in evenings during the summer months (mainly July & August) while he is on holidays (he also does summer camp so this would be some evenings and some day time help) when we are running our business in the restaurant and potentially some general work in the house and garden. This would be for ONE workawayer and would be remunerated.
2: PAID staff working in the B&B - serving / managing the rooms and support the business in the summer months - June - Sept - ideally have some french (not essential but benefical for you and our guests). Chef / or experienced cook would be an asset.
The town is small and one of the official 150 plus beaux villages de France so very touristy in late Spring and Summer. If you want to explore France, see it's culture and be part of a modern family, we would love to hear from you. We are happy to answer any questions your mau have

They will experience the French way of life and a beautiful setting in one of the plus beaux villages of France. There are lots of events and things nearby (driving essential) and we are 2 hours from Toulouse, Bordeaux and Rodez, and 90 mins from Limoges airports. Paris is also accessible by train in under 4 hours.
There is lots of opportunity to go canoeing, swimming and if you like castles and chateaux and stunning scenery, this is the part of France to be. Fishing is also a possibility in the season.
For the childcareand summer support/catering we would want someone with some French ideally, but willing to entertain our 9 year old, including cycling, swimming and helping him with his reading and writing. Having a driver's licence is essential so you can go explore the region as well.
English & French
We will provide you a room with ensuite facilities and food provided. We will pay a small allowance as well. We have a large house and garden with outside space and a small plunge pool (in summer months)
The area is in the Dordogne Valley in the Lot region, and you have lots of opportunity to go and see the regions, fishing, canoeing, swimming or walking. Being the nut capital of France and a very green area, there is lots to do, and opportunity to integrate with the local community especially if staying for longer then 3 weeks.
