Description
Hiya I am buying a run down blacksmiths cottage and workshops in the mayenne region of France and I am developing it into a heritage centre to remember the days when the village was a working quarry, mining its very own sought after slate. We could really benefit with a knowledgeable builder type of person to help with the earing and fixing up of the place. We are open to discuss varying terms with regards to hours and whats expected of you. We have a big project to undertake so any help would be appreciated!

There is plenty of opportunities to enjoy the area here in the mayenne. Lots to do and see. We are looking for people who want to get involved with creating and having fun building and maintaining what will be a local attraction. Our aim is to create a diverse space for arts and creativity, music, off grid possibilities, self sustainability and general good vibes! Here in the pays de la loire it is so peaceful and there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature and heritage.
Help
Any kind of building experience would be helpful, someone who likes a bit of gardening and landscaping. Bit of help, plenty of laughs in an easy going environment, knowing that we are reinvesting time and energy in bringing a bit of heritage back to life!

Accommodation
At the moment there is room in the main house to sleep even though it is still being renovated. By the time a workaway arrives it will be fully operational. We csn also offer a park up if someone has a van/camper. We csn also come to an arrangement with food either we provide or there's some kind of reimbursement on our behalf to you
What else ...
There is plenty to do in the area. Lots of walking, cycling, access to rivers etc. Peaceful and quiet but enough going on I the local towns and villages to keep interested. i am interested in music so will have a small studio set up there, always keen to have fellow musicians involved. We are developing everything from the ground up so there is scope for all kinds here
