Help us around our family home and garden in Dordogne, France
We live in a large house next to Périgueux in the Dordogne. We live in the countryside in a very quiet place.
We are a family of 3 people, my husband and I as well as our 39 year old daughter.
We have 5 cottages and 5 guest rooms.
I also maintain a large vegetable garden.
My husband takes care of the landscaped garden and the maintenance of the property.

Nous habitons une grande maison à côté de Périgueux en Dordogne. On habite à la campagne dans un endroit très calme.
Nous sommes une famille de 3 personnes, mon mari et moi ainsi que notre fille de 39 ans.
Nous avons des 5 gîtes et 5 chambres d'hôtes.
J'entretiens aussi un grand jardin potager.
Mon mari s'occupe du jardin paysager et de l'entretien de la propriété.

Belle expérience avec Yvan et Lisa ! Ils ont été très efficaces au jardin et aux abeilles entre autres et ont su travaillé dans la bonne humeur. Très agréables au quotidien et ont bien participer à la vie de famille.

Passer du temps avec Audrey, c'est comme être avec une amie de toujours, se lancer dans toutes sortes d'aventures, faire de la randonnée pendant des heures :), jouer au tennis et au volant, se promener dans toute la propriété, visiter le lac et faire des visites d'arbres en soirée dans le parc. Martine, Didier et Audrey ne partagent pas seulement leur vaste propriété avec des excursions en quad dans la forêt, l'apiculture et les chevaux, ils partagent tant de parties de cette belle région, de belles villes, des paysages, des repas, une famille et des amis.

Le travail était vraiment agréable dans l’impressionnant potager bio de Martine, j’ai pu en apprendre beaucoup plus sur les produits bio et j’ai adoré ramasser les œufs quotidiennement. Ma chambre était privée, avec une salle de bain et en prime une vue superbe !
Tout le monde me manque, la super douce Peluche (la minette), l'adorable Romane (la petite-fille) et j'ai vraiment hâte de revenir ! Merci!

Extremely special !! From the moment you arrive Martine, Didier and Audrey warmly welcome you into their home and to be truly a part of this beautiful family. Gosh where to start with the generosity!! I really loved our family meals together in the kitchen (and terrace), eating exceptional food that Martine effortlessly prepares with organic produce from the garden, paired with Didier’s amazing wine selection and all sorts of interesting and funny conversations. Spending time with Audrey is like being with a lifelong friend, getting up to all sorts of adventures, hiking for hours :), playing tennis and shuttlecock, walks all over the property, visiting the lake and evening tree tours in the parc. Martine, Didier and Audrey not only share their extensive property with quad car tours in the forest, bee keeping and horses they share so many parts of this beautiful region, beautiful towns, landscape, meals, family and friends.

The work was really enjoyable in Martine’s impressive organic vegetable garden, I was able to learn so much more about organic produce and loved collecting the eggs daily. My room was private, with a bathroom and a bonus super stunning view!
I miss everyone, super sweet Peluche (the kitty), adorable Romane (granddaughter) and really looking forward to coming back! Thank you!

Nous sommes particulièrement reconnaissants pour les nombreuses conversations intéressantes que nous avons eues ensemble - que ce soit dans le jardin, dans la cuisine ou lors d'une excursion commune. Cela va nous manquer ! Bien que cela ait déjà été mentionné ici par d'autres Workawayers, nous voulons également souligner à quel point chaque repas était délicieux - Martine est une excellente cuisinière ! La patience de Martine, Didier et Audrey à notre égard a également été remarquable. Que ce soit pour des questions de compréhension (français-allemand) ou pour d'autres questions, par exemple sur le jardinage, dont nous n'avions pas beaucoup d'idée auparavant : Tous les trois ont toujours pris le temps et fait l'effort de tout nous expliquer tranquillement.
Dès le début, nous nous sommes sentis totalement à l'aise avec eux et nous ne pouvons que recommander un séjour Workaway chez eux !

We had a great time with Martine, Didier and Audrey! It was our first workaway experience and we are glad we stayed with them. In a total of 4 weeks, we were not only able to expand our French vocabulary, but we also learned a lot about gardening, plants, and life in general! We are especially grateful for all the interesting conversations we had together - whether it was in the garden, in the kitchen, or on a trip together. We will miss that! It has already been mentioned here by other Workawayers, but we also want to highlight how delicious every meal was - Martine is an excellent cook! It was also very remarkable how much patience Martine, Didier and Audrey had with us. Whether it was with comprehension questions (French-German) or with other questions e.g. about gardening, of which we didn't have much idea before: All three of them always took the time and made the effort to explain everything to us in detail.
We felt totally comfortable with them from the beginning and can only highly recommend a workaway stay there!

Thank you for the great time, the interesting conversations, the delicious food and the many wonderful memories we took home with us! We hope to stay in touch!
