    Description

We are Federico and Valentina, living in Tivegna, a small medieval village in the mountains above Cinque Terre. We live in a fourth generation family house that we restored in the original style. During the high season we operate an short term rental with people visiting from all over the world. We enjoy welcoming new people into our home, and for this reason we would like to welcome WorkAwayers to help us in winter, harvesting olives at our nearby farm, and general maintenance both around the farm and our home.

We are approximately 25 minutes drive from La Spezia, a beautiful city with museums and a busy naval port. From there you can easily access the famous and beautiful Cinque Terre by train or bus. The mountain villages surrounding Tivegna are also within walking distance and worthwhile to explore.

Meals will be together in our home. We always eat traditional italian dishes with fresh market ingredients. If you are interested in learning italian cooking, or sharing your culture's cuisine, we may cook and learn together.

The work on the farm will consist of preparation for harvest in October, harvesting in November, and general maintenance during the other months, including pruning trees, collecting fire wood. The harvesting is physical work, however we will only expect you to work for a maximum of 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We are looking for Workawayers for stays between 1 and 2 weeks long.

    Accommodation

As we do not operate our short term rentals during the winter months, your accomodation will be in our guesthouse, which includes your own private bathroom and private entrance. There is also a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals or snacks if you wish. There are two separate bedrooms with private bathrooms, so we can accommodate up to two couples, or two single people.
