Hello lovely workawayers,
I am Cécile, a Belgian girl who loves to enjoy the treasures of life, the magic of nature and the beauty of connecting with inspiring people. I am a passionate language teacher and I also teach yoga, meditation and breathwork. I love cooking, gardening, cycling, running, photography, etc. I speak Dutch, French, Spanish and Chinese.
I live in my fathers house in Battel. It's a small town next to Mechelen, the location is perfect, just 20 min by train to Brussels and Antwerp. The house is very charming with a beautiful garden and it's located next to the river, we have kayaks in the water on a wooden ponton. The neighborhood is amaizing for hikes and the sunsets are stunning!
I took a gap year to travel, teach yoga and...to renovate the house. There is a lot of work in the house and the garden and it would be fun to have some help. In spring and summer it's a little paradise. You can swim in the river, have a bbq, go hiking, just doing nothing, reading in the hammock, walking the dog, cycling,...
Mechelen is just 15 minutes by bike and in summer it's really a bustling city with a lot of festivals and outdoor summer bars.
I will also be working in and around the house and I will teach yoga and organise some workshops. You are welcome to join the classes for free. I am positive, open-minded and i am sure we can have a good time together. If you want to be more on your own, that's also fine, you put your favourite music on and you choose what you want to do.

I am looking for a volunteer to help me with some creative jobs in the house located in the beautiful nature of Belgium, next to a river. The tasks include reorganizing the basement, refurbishing old furniture, painting, DIY projects to decorate the house, gardening, etc.
For my future yoga studio, i could also need some help to make the website.
In exchange for your help, you will have a comfortable room to stay in and only have to work 4/5 hours a day. We will also have one meal together every day. The rest of the meals you can prepare yourself with the vegetables provided. We can also go to the market together. During your free time, you can explore the beautiful surroundings, go for a swim in the river, kayak, or simply relax and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. You will have a bycicle to go explore the surroundings and the most beautiful city of Belgium, Mechelen.
