    Description

    Hi there,

I am making this profile for my mum, we are looking for people for maximum two weeks.

    The Property:

20kms east from Margaret River townsite, so you need to have your own transport.
Rural property with small remnant wetland. We are a 5 minute drive from Rapids conservation park where you can walk amongst the bush to your hearts content.

The property is located near jarrah forests. Jarrah is a eucalyptus tree that is endemic to the southwest, which means it is not found anywhere else in the world. We can suggest lots of walking trails such as the Bibbulmen track and the Cape to Cape track which are all extremely rewarding hikes.

Margaret River town is a 15 minute drive away
Gnarabup beach is about a 25/30 minute drive away

    The Work:

The work will be outdoors completely, there will be no indoor work.

We have a few specific tasks we need completed over a two week stay.

-The first job is to dismantle an old bridge that is falling apart. The bridge goes over a small creek, its more like a swampy wetland.

-The second job is that behind a water-tank is various miscellaneous materials (old building materials, rubber tyres, metal scrap). This needs to be thrown into a trailer and driven to the waste-transfer station.

-The third is that there is an old chicken area that needs the grass to be cut and and the fruit trees pruned underneath so the chickens can move around. The old chicken hut needs to be cleaned, fixed, renovated and filled in with woodchips.

If you are amazing and complete the three tasks within the two weeks we have small jobs like painting a verandah

There are two options for the amount of work:
    1. 4 hours, 4 days a week, in exchange for accomodation and 50 dollars for food
    2. 4 hours, 3 days a week, in exchange for one dinner a week and you buy your own food

    Selection Criteria:
Proficient at range of power tools
    Physically fit
    Drivers License

Please send me an application and we can talk about your skills and our needs

Looking forward to hearing from you

You will benefit from this stay if you enjoy nature and environmentalism. The south-west region has an international classification of a "global biodiversity hotspot". This means that we have a high concentration of endemic species, and also significantly threatened. If you want to learn more about the specifics of the unique biodiversity we can point you in the direction of some really informative resources.

We are close to Margaret River, it is the town where we go to if we need anything. It is a progressive town, rich in new-age cultural events. Yoga, sound healing, permaculture, meditation, music events, surfing events, lots of wine. Margaret River has a reputation as being a progressive cultural town of the southwest.
