    Description

We are a couple in our late 30s and have two daughters Oriah (3) and Alara (1). My husband Pasan is Australian and I am Canadian. We live 15 minutes from Nelson, BC. Nelson is a creative town in the Selkirk Mountains. A lot of people come here to explore, hike, camp, mountain bike, kayak, and ski/snowboard. There are various places to access the glacial waters of the Kootenays. Mountains are all around us.

We have just built a new house (2023) and with a beautiful wrap around deck. There is just under 1 acre of land that's surrounded by trees. We have beautiful mountain views and it is truly a peaceful place. Last year we built a deck at the bottom of our property and it's a great place to chill, have a coffee or do yoga.

We are an active and friendly international family. My partner Pasan has just started his own business as a Product Designer. He loves music, architecture, films and building things.

I am a Geographer and although I'm on maternity leave right now I was working for a First Nation Government on Cultural Heritage projects. I grew up in BC and followed my passion as a short track speed skater.

We love spending time in nature and have been working on taking time to slow down. Our goal is to make a beautiful life for our family and we are still exploring the area.

We have recently been discussing various projects for Spring and Summer. Our land is just under 1 acre and we are interested in making best use of space. Our goal is to be as self sufficient as possible but we have a ways to go. We would like to build a garden and have a few landscaping projects on the go. Also open to new and fresh ideas on making this place a true Alpine Nirvana.
