  We are a couple who manage a lodge in the famous ski resort in Hakuba Valley, Japan. There are the skiers/snowboarders coming all over the world. We enjoy the worldwide vide gathering together in the lodge. Looking for more people willing to share their experience of traveling the world with us and the guests.

  There will be the guests from all over the world so to stay here with us is a great opportunity to exchange cultures with each other. The travelers will be able to learn our way to run a guest house business in a ski resort in Japan. The workawayers will also have an opportunity to meet the people from all over the world, share the travel experience with each other. In addition, the workawayers could learn our way of life in a ski resort. All the guests are coming here for a ski trip. It is very important to exchange the knowledge about the mountain and snow. Especially, we, as local people (including the staff), have to explain the area and snow condition with the guests. In order to do that, we will teach the workawayers the basic knowledge of the mountains and snow in Hakuba. In return, the workawayers might get the experience of the other ski resorts that the guests might share with.

  Help

  We’re looking for Workawayers to join us in the beautiful village of Hakuba! Tasks may vary day to day, but usually include:
  
  ・General house maintenance
  ・Interacting with guests and answering questions
  ・Sharing your travel stories and experiences in Hakuba
  ・Making videos or social media content with staff and guests
  ・Cooking and sharing meals (especially from your hometown!)
  ・Helping with breakfast or dinner preparation
  ・Keeping common areas clean and tidy
  ・Snow shoveling (in winter)
  
  We offer free accommodation, plus a wage of ¥1,000/hour.
  In return, we hope you’ll bring a positive spirit, enjoy community life, and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere here!

  we have a female room, a male room, a double room for a couple and a mixed bunkbed rooms. The arrangement will depends on the situation the travelers, no guarantee of which one will be provided.

  We are in the heart of the famous ski resort so of course you will have time to enjoy the snow activities in the winter. As for the summer season, there are also lots of mountain activities, such as hiking, MTB...etc. There are rivers and lakes nearby, so the activities in the river and lake is also popular here in Hakuba.
