Description
We are a family of four—Lucie, Aurelien, and our two young children, Arthur (4) and Charlotte (2)—living in the lovely Vieux-Rosemont neighborhood of Montreal.
Our home is a cozy 3-bedroom house with a small garden, in a vibrant and walkable area filled with parks, cafés, local shops, and access to public transport. It's a great neighborhood to experience local Montreal life, with a strong sense of community.
At home, we speak French as our primary language. That said, both Lucie and I are fluent in English, and I also have a good foundation in Spanish, so communication is flexible and open.
During the week, we work while the kids are at daycare. On weekends, we enjoy going on nature adventures to nearby provincial parks, biking, or simply relaxing in our neighborhood with friends and family.
We’d love to welcome someone who is kind, responsible, and enjoys spending time with young children. In exchange for light help with childcare or household chores, we offer a warm and inclusive environment, the chance to experience family life in Montreal, and a private bedroom in our homeTypes of help and learning opportunities

Staying with us is a chance to experience life in a French-speaking family with a global outlook. Both Lucie and I are originally from France, but we've also lived in Toronto, and I (Aurelien) grew up in Greece, China, and Libya, later spending time in Kenya and the Congo as a student and young professional. Travel and cultural exchange have been a big part of our lives, and we’re excited to continue that through hosting.
At home, we speak French, but we're also fluent in English, and I have a good foundation in Spanish. If you're looking to practice or share a language, we’d be happy to create space for that exchange.
We’d love to include you in our family rhythm—sharing meals, learning from each other, and enjoying time together. Whether it's conversations around the table or occasional outings, we believe these small, genuine moments offer the richest cultural exchange.
For us, hosting is not just about help—it’s about connection. We hope to welcome someone who’s curious, kind, and eager to share a part of their story with our family, just as we share ours.Au Pair Help

Help
We’re looking for some occasional help with daily household tasks and childcare, depending on your comfort level and experience.
Typical tasks might include:
- Light house chores like laundry, folding clothes
- Helping with meal prep or cooking (we’re happy to share favorite recipes—or learn yours!)
- Picking up the kids from daycare
- Watching the children from time to time—playing with them, reading, or keeping them company while we get a few things done
We see this as a collaborative experience and are happy to share skills or learn together. If you're interested in cooking, French language practice, or local culture, we’d love to make space for that exchange.
The rhythm of the week can be flexible, and we’ll always try to plan things together to respect everyone’s time and energy. This setup would be a great fit for someone who enjoys being around small children and appreciates family life.Languages

You'll have your own private bedroom in our home, equipped with a queen-size bed, a desk, and a wardrobe for your belongings. The room is bright, comfortable, and located on the same floor as the rest of the family, so you’ll be part of the household while still having your own space to relax.
We usually share dinner together as a family around 6–6:30 PM, and you're very welcome to join us. On weekends, we also typically have lunch together. For breakfast and weekday lunches, things are more flexible—you’ll have full access to the kitchen and can prepare your own meals as needed. If you enjoy cooking, we’d be happy to include you in meal planning too!
We aim to keep a clean, calm, and respectful living environment, and we’ll do our best to make you feel at home. If you have any specific dietary needs or preferences, just let us know. What else ...
In your free time, you’re welcome to borrow one of our bikes to explore the city. While there’s no direct metro, several bus lines nearby make getting around easy.
Our home is generally calm during the day, but things can get lively in the mornings and evenings when the kids are home from daycare. Usually one of us work from home during the week while the other one is in the office.
We don’t usually host guests, but we’re open to discussing occasional visits—just check with us first.
We value respect, open communication, and shared moments. If you enjoy family life and simple cultural exchange, you’ll feel at home here.A little more information
