    Help

You will be living onsite at a vegan sanctuary with almost 50 rescued animals. 5 times a week you will do the morning feed and clean and evening checks. We have pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, cats, chickens, ducks and a turkey! One of your main roles is to keep the cats and dog company when other volunteers are not there. As we have only space for two people to stay on the sanctuary this is ideally suited to a couple, two friends or someone who loves to be in the country with animals and no humans!!

    Accommodation

Our tiny house is perfectly suited for two people (although we have had 3, but it’s cosy!) The house is cosy and peaceful, set in the Sanctuary where you will be surrounded by cats from the moment you arrive! Definitely not for you if you have a cat allergy!

Outside your front door you have goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, a turkey and a donkey plus our lovely old dog with dementia. All of them are living happily after being rescued from horrible circumstances.
Previous volunteers have loved the incredible views of the mountains and the peaceful surroundings. This is a real retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily working life.

During your stay, our accommodation provides a hot shower, WIFI, a small kitchen with a stove (one ring,) kettle and a plug in camping fridge plus, of course, the company of many very friendly furry faces! The sanctuary manager, Nicole is always available by phone to assist you with anything you might need. It is NOT luxury accomodation. It has quirks. The house is essentially one room with a walled in showeroom and a mezzanine with 2 single mattresses where you will sleep (with a bunch of cats.)

The transport is not amazing and the sanctuary is down winding country roads. We advise car hire but if you are very independent and flexible it is not necessay.

We look forward to welcoming you to our unusual family!
