  • Description

    Description

Nestled between two wine farms in the nook of the mountains on the outskirts of the historical rural Sir Lowrys Pass village only 60kms from Cape Town and 40km from Cape Town International airport, lies our 4 hectare property.

We are striving to create a fully self sufficient, sustainable environment through organic farming practice and incorporating biodynamic principles in growing our own veggies, raising pigs, goats, chickens and keeping several beehives. And dont forget the old Massey Fergusson!

We enjoy the help and interaction with like-minded people who are willing to work toward our common goal. If you can see yourself adding to our enthusiastic, proactive team and think you have initiative and would be able to contribute through experience, energy or knowledge then we'd like to welcome you!

We’ve adapted our volunteer policy in that we are only willing to accept volunteers for 14 days or more. We find that having to explain procedures and give fresh instruction weekly is too time consuming and too disruptive. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Volunteers do everything from harvesting our organic veg, to helping groom and train our donkeys, maintaining irrigation and borehole systems to working on the old Massey Fergusson, collecting seaweed from the beautiful coastline and acorns from neighbouring farms.
During September, October and November 2015 we will be looking specifically for people with construction and related experience such as carpentry and plumbing.
