We are a couple who have just moved to a beautiful piece of land in the South of Portugal and are looking to create a new space/community to develop a variety of creative projects supported by a community of like-minded people. We are both open and friendly and love meeting new people! We have always been involved in the arts, from set design to music, theatre and circus so our idea is to create a space where we can support and involve all types of artists and people from all backgrounds that are interested in starting something new. We are always open to new ideas and our aim is to build a space where people feel welcome to come and stay.
The land has one building split into three compartiments we want to restore, one of them to turn into a studio/workshop. Two of them are already equipped with running water, electricity and a kitchen but need some tender love and care to get ready to be used! There is also a ruin we want to convert into a terrace and above that we are thinking of building a swimming pool.
In the future we would like to organise concerts, workshops, nature walks, retreats and other types of events (we are open to ideas!). Alongside this, we are wanting to explore the lands natural resources in terms of agriculture and plan on having animals in the near future.
It is a big project and we would love to have motivated dynamic people with us in this initial stage to help us turn this idea into reality!

Help with Eco Projects
Alongside learning about sustainable living and exchanging ideas !) you will have the opportunity to experience life in the rural Portuguese countryside and experience what it's like to live in a traditional Portuguese village. Your experience would be completely immersive as we are both portuguese (we can teach you some useful vocabulary!) and you would be able to enjoy and explore the beautiful southern coast. We often go out to surrounding cities such as Lagos, Portimão and Silves where we enjoy busking. We would be happy to take you with us so you can have the opportunity to meet local people!
The type of help would range from gardening (helping with garden design, planting a vegetable patch, pruning the olive and orange trees, clearing land etc.), building and restoring (building a space to be used as a common space, dry toilets, painting walls, helping with interior design ideas, restoring the ruins etc) and any other ideas you may have when you get here! We would like everyone to be helping out in things they enjoy and feel motivated in doing so when speaking to us we can discuss what needs to be done and what you would be interested in doing so we can also meet your needs.

We have a small self-contained house with three beds (one double bed) a kitchen and a bathroom where you can stay. You are also welcome to camp or come with your van and use the kitchen and bathroom in the house. We will provide you with two meals a day (breakfast and lunch) from Monday to Friday and have a projector so we could organize occasional cinema sessions :)
We have a two week experimentation period and then we'll have a meeting to discuss how you're experience is going :)
We are in a prime location, situated just between the quiet mountains and the famous Algarve beaches. We are near Portimão which has active nightlife and a world famous beach (Praia da Rocha), Silves which is an old medieval town where you can visit the castle and go sightseeing, Lagos which is famous for its stunning beaches and caves, street performers and bars with live music and other events and activities such as kayaking. Also close by is Monchique, situated high up in the mountains (home of the highest mountain peak in the south of Portugal) famous for its forests and springs and ideal for nature walking. It is a 40 minute drive to Faro Airport.
Where we are is a central location ideal for meeting people and exploring the South of Portugal.
