We are a couple in our fifties, who came here in 2012, rather on the quiet spiritual side than partying.
Our vision is to create a garden paradise and lead the land back to its natural state by replacing the eucalyptus monoculture with fruit trees.
We run organic vegetable farming, cuddly chickens, solar system, photovoltaic, regenerative heating, biological water system with mountain spring water.
CURRENT SITUATION: We will start the next run in May. Mostly construction tasks (build kitchen and bathroom for workawayers, sewerage system), some light forest maintenance and gardening with Ines. So this time we are offering hosting for one couple and two men.

Volunteers definitely will see what it means, to put a sustainable way of living into practice.
When I work in the forest in midst of nature alls this stillness, oxygen and sunlight and breathtaking view to the sea, I feel profoundly being part of nature and creation itself. Time flows and stays still at the same time. For me, making this piece of land a better place is pure bliss, the pinnacle of how good life can be at all.
The volunteers feedback describes it better than I could: "Occasionally we would get together in the hot pool and have discussions or simply sit in silence as the sun set and the stars began to appear coupled with the amazing view of the city at night. Not something I'm going to forget.... A quiet place where your soul and spirit can rest or heal and wonderful people whose spirits shine bright made this an amazing experience."
The monchique picota mountain slope is a sacred place, which offers extraordinary stillness, so if you are on a spiritual path you will get the most of your stay. Yoga is available in the buddhist monastery in walking distance.
You are invited to join our guided meditation like Quantum Light Vipassana, Karunesh Heart Chakra and others.
We live tantra in our daily practice and have experience in teaching it, so if you are interested, we might invite you to some tantric meditations or rituals.
If you get along with other workawayers, consider yourself as curious, easy-going, hard-working and reliable: welcome to our paradise - we are a strong team and there is always a good laugh.
If you focus on urban lifestyle, hostel atmosphere, diving, surfing and party, you might find places that suit you better.

The volunteers share the guest apartment of the main building. It has a hot shower and floor heating and is very cozy in the winter. Since it is part of our private house, we ask you to keep it tidy.
The kitchen has cooker and refrigerator, so you can do your meals as you like. We provide food. Usually we visit the local organic farmers market once a week. Alcohol, body lotion and sun creme is not considered being food.
There is one curtain-separated room with a double-bed for couples and the other room has a bunk bed, so we can host up to four people.
We are hosts for years now, experience has shown, that many workawayers enjoy being together with others, so we try to arrange more than one party being there at a time. Sometimes it can get packed, especially when we rescue people out of tents in winter, sometimes you might be the only one with us.
There is a patio with hammock and table for outside eating.
UMTS coverage is good, so with your smart phone you will have internet access.
