We are a German/Irish family w 4 young children who live on a family farm. We have had lots of Aupairs and students over the years to help us with our busy family, animals, gardens and general farm maintenance. We have always offered travelers a warm, fun welcome to Ireland. Our experience is mostly with German travelers in the past, and we have always enjoyed the language exchanges. NOTE: Accommodation suitable for 2 travelers!

Help around the house
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
We are a bilingual German/Irish family loving living in the countryside. David is Irish and grew up on the land, he loves getting stuck into work and play in the outdoors in every way. Alex is German and loves her vegetables, animals (and her family). Our 4 children are ages 11 and younger. They are always keen to meet travelers and will help you settle into your stay here.
This year, we are planning a small building project - we are building a new vegetable garden, which includes fencing, a polytunnel and digging patches. We are also doing more general planting on our land. Further, we sometimes may ask for help with general house work, child minding, feeding the animals, walking dogs, and general maintenance.
While it is useful to have some previous experience with most tasks we are very happy to help you learn while we do.
NOTE: Our place is ideally suited to 2 WorkAway travelers staying together.

You will receive provision to make own meals. Feel free to join us in the house for time together, though.
You are always welcome into our house where we have Wifi access and TV. We live 5km from Brittas Bay beach, 8km from beautiful historic Wicklow Town, Kilmacurragh Arboretum, Glendalough, trains to Dublin and other fab amenities. You can walk on the farm and in the local forestry. Bicycle available. And we can work out lifts to Wicklow.
We are a busy family and tend to be away in the mornings. Afternoons are filled with homework, cooking, children's hobbies, etc. They like hockey, football, cycling, swimming, arts and general play. Your job is mostly working on the land or in the gardens, but we always welcome you into the house. Alex will give you a hand when she is around, but you will also be asked to workaway on your own. You will never be bored with so many people around.

Can host families
We are very open to hosting those who wish to continue their own projects during their stay with us. As we are rural in Ireland our fixed broadband and WiFi is not great. But we can organize a dongle to work from, which should work well.
