Hi! The HImalayan villages are impacted immensely by migration of people from villages to urban areas, the situation is so grave that some are completely inhabited. We plan to create an eco-system for poor villagers in the remote Himalayan Villages for sustenance of livelihood by creating self help groups for procurement, cleaning, grading, packing, marketing their organics farm produces.
I am an Engineer by education, after working for 25 years in various organisations like France Telecom, Airtel, Tata and others, have moved back to my place of interest. My family, wife and our two children, splits their time between Delhi and Ranikhet.

Help with Eco Projects
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
The first step towards achieving above, requires creation of such proof-of-concept facility. We plan to set up infrastructure at our facility in Ranikhet, which doubles as retreat for travelers. We seek volunteers to help in small herbal and organic farming, interacting with villagers and understand the issues.
Rooms would be provided
The farm is next to a boutique retreat in the lap of Himalayas near Ranikhet, Uttarakhand in India. The volunteers can also interact with the travelers, understand the cultural aspects of the country, help build communication channels, communicate the need to go organic and also create multi cultural cuisines to make the stay more enjoyable for all.
