    Description

Welcome to our little piece of countryside in rural Denmark, located on the beautiful island of South Fyn, just a 10-minute walk from the beach!

We have a nice and active farm with horses, chickens, and a more animals. There’s always work like feeding the animals, cleaning stables, gardening, fixing or building things, or just helping with everyday chores. It’s a great place for hands-on people who enjoy nature, animals, and a lot of creative work, and if you are only in to cleaning or only into gardening, or only into animals - we can work this out also.

The farm is close to a small town, and I often take trips to Odense, the largest city on the island, which you’re welcome to join. It is a great way to explore Danish city life while staying in a peaceful countryside setting.

If you're looking for a meaningful and relaxed experience in a friendly environment with a mix of work, animals, nature, and local culture, you're welcome to join me for days, week or more.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Experience the real Danish way of life, the food, the rhythm of the countryside, and yes, even the weather! You'll be staying in a rural area close to a small Danish town, with opportunities to explore local traditions, nature, and everyday life in South Fyn.

I’d be happy to teach you practical handyman work, anything from simple repairs to building small structures. If you’re interested in animals, you'll have a lot of opportunities to learn.

We often work together, share meals, and go on small trips, including regular visits to Odense city, where you can get a taste of urban Danish life. There’s room here to connect, to learn, and to bring your own culture into the mix too.

    Help

There’s a wide variety of work to be done here on the farm, and I welcome many different kinds of people to help with animals, gardening, cleaning or just doing your part in a helpful way.

    Some typical tasks include:

Feeding and caring for the animals, cleaning animal spaces and home, gardening, building or repair projects. General housework like cleaning, organizing, cooking and creative or small DIY tasks.

You don’t need to be experienced in everything or anything. If you’re strong and enjoy physical work, great — there’s plenty of outdoor tasks. If you’re more comfortable indoors, that’s also fine — there’s always cleaning and light help needed. The work can be adapted to what you enjoy and what you’re able to do.

We’ll work mostly side by side, and I’m happy to share what I know or learn together with you. It’s a flexible and friendly environment — the main thing is that you’re open-minded, respectful, and willing to contribute.

    Accommodation

Volunteers stay in my family house and have their own private room, so you’ll have a clean, warm, and comfortable space to spend the time. If you prefer to be closer to nature, you’re also welcome to camp outside.

We’ll coordinate food together, I usually take care of grocery shopping, and happy to accommodate any dietary needs or preferences, including gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, or anything else you need. Meals are often shared and flexible, and you’re welcome to join in cooking.

The atmosphere here is casual and respectful — and there's always room at the table for good conversation.
